Description
A collection of mods to reduce the impact on the Frame rate of the game.
All modifications in this game (excluding assets) will reduce your frame rate perfomance considerable.

These mods here have been tested at the current state to have the least amount of FPS loss and increase the experience/quality of the game.

"Traffic Manager: President Edition" and "Ambient Sounds Tuner 2.0 + Redcomet's Municipal Sound Pack" have the highest improvement to FPS-loss ratio. which is the best bargain if you wish to use mods.

This is the "DIAMOND" edition (see below at the end of the text description for other editions)

This is the most Efficient edition of all the "Efficiency Mod Collections" it includes the Mod Achievement Enabler to enable achievements while using mods and Automatic Bulldoze v2 to automaticly remove non active buildings and a Satellite LUT for better color.

Traffic Manager: President Edition
Redcomet's Municipal Sound Pack
Ambient Sounds Tuner 2.0
Satellite LUT
Automatic Bulldoze v2 (Fixed for v1.6) [ND Compatible]
Mod Achievement Enabler

How to config:
  1. Subscribe to these mods.

  2. Enable the mods in the content manager ingame.

  3. Restart the game from desktop to ensure the game loads the mods properly.

  4. Go to options.

  5. Under mod settings select Ambient Sounds Tuner 2.0
    • Now select the 'RedcometMunicipalSoundPack' at Sound pack preset.

  6. "Traffic Manager: President Edition" need to be configed while playing with an actualy city since Traffic Manager: President Edition will have different setting with every save.
  • The only settings you have to bother with "Traffic Manager: President Edition" are all options below 'Advanced Vehicle AI' and 'Parking AI' under Gameplay options (and maybe 'Simulation accuracy' under General which explains by itself at options)

Any other mod not mentioned in "How to config" doesn't need any editing in the configuration.

Tips:
  • If you are adding any other mods beside these ones make sure to test it with the FPS Display, this will tell you how much it will draw from your FPS, with and without that mod on. (make sure to have V-Sync disabled at the grapics options when testing, since V-Sync will lock down your frames to a maximum of 60 FPS thus you can't see any difference when changes happen above 60 FPS)
  1. zoom out from the map as far as you can and save the game.
  2. Use this 'save-game' to monitor your FPS with and without a mod, by keeping the screen at that same position as you had saved it and watch the FPS difference.

    • If you want to use construction mods like an anarchy or the 'Precision Engineering' mod, make sure you turn them off once you don't use them, for example the 'Precision Engineering' mod will draw around 5 FPS from your game when active.
    • Look at the fluctuations of the frame rate, is it at bewteen 60 and 50 or between 60 and 45 for example, what is it's high and what is it's low and where does it tend to go average with an additional mod active and when it's not active.
    • If you need a lot of aid from construction mods because you are a precision scientist just make sure you deactivate them when you are not using them.

Definition - What does Frames Per Second (FPS) mean?
Frames per second (FPS) is a unit that measures display device performance. It consists of the number of complete scans of the display screen that occur each second. This is the number of times the image on the screen is refreshed each second, or the rate at which an imaging device produces unique sequential images called frames.
The greater the FPS, the smoother the video motion appears.
