Water.
What is Water used for?

Water is the tool to power. And it can apply to literally everything Rocket Jumping has to offer.
It can increase height, distance and speed. Water has 2 different fuctions and different ways to use them.

Functions:
  • Floating
Floating is mostly used for speed, but it can also be use for height and distance. Though there aren't many official maps that can use this much, it is still used in many jump maps.
To gain the bigger percentage of power you will be relying on 1 key - The Space Bar. The purpose here is to hold and press the key while in the water and to successfully start floating on the water. When that is done you can freely jump, but note that you should never stop pressing the space key otherwise you will stop floating, which can ruin your jumps.

  • Height and/or Distance
Now this will not require for you to use any keys or other techniques. This will just require basic Rocket Jumping knowledge as it only uses basic Rocket Jumps. You can preform this in many maps as they have little puddles or anything that isn't too deep.
To do this kind of Water Jumping, you will need to start of in water that should not be high enough for you to be able to float on it in any way. After that you just use basic Rocket Jumping techniques and start jumping. You will notice a strong boost when preforming any kind of Rocket Jump.
C-tapping.
What is C-tapping?
C-tapping is basically the same as a normal Rocket Jump.
Though the aspect is that c-tapping gives you an huge benefit
when trying to do higher jumps or just high jumps in general.

Function:
This method of a Rocket Jump (called C-tapping) can drastically boost your amount of height and distance if done correctly. What's different about controling C-tapping is that the pattern of the keys you have to press is slightly different.
  • In the sequence of a normal Rocket Jump you would press the following keys (if you have them bound to default):

Space - Ctrl - M1 (Jump - Crouch - Shoot)

  • Now the c-tapping method shows a slight difference, as shown by the following:

Ctrl - Space - M1 (Crouch - Jump - Shoot)

If you haven't noticed, the difference was the Ctrl and/or Crouch placement. They were placed before Space and/or Jump.
Surfing
What is Surfing?

Theres 3 types of Surfing:
  • Explosion Surfing
  • Object Surfing
  • Surf maps Surfing
This will be about Object Surfing, as it involves Rocket Jumping.

Objects that you can surf:
  • Stairs
  • Flat rocks.
  • Ramps.

Function:

Surfing on Objects is basically sliding on ramps, rocks, stairs that are at an angle. The goal is to get enough speed at a certain angle so the player can slide up the ramp. Surfing on these objects requires you a bit of speed at a more horizontal angle. If you hit these object vertically then you will most likely take fall-damage and fail.

Advanced Sync-Jumping.
What is Advanced Sync-Jumping?

Advanced Sync-Jumping is like regular Sync-jumping, but it requires more rockets and consistancy. It should also never be done without regeneration, as it will take away most of your health in 1 of these Sync techniques.
You may recognize or know sync-jumping as using 2 rockets to boost your height and/or distance. Advanced Sync-Jumping is harder, but greater in outcome, as you will have to shoot more rockets with the advantage to gain more height with the impact that these rockets give you. A regular Sync-jump requires 2 rockets, though this kind of sync-jumping will require you to use more rockets and an extreme height to properly preform the Sync.

Function:
  • The 1st advanced jump will be a 2x Sync or a Double Sync. This will use 3 rockets. The 1st 2 rockets need to be fired while falling towards the spot you will land. These rockets need to be aligned close to each other, but it does not require for you to make it perfect, though it should be close enough so that they hit the ground at approximately the same time. Then the last rocket will be when the rockets come to the ground. And NOTE that you should not shoot exactly when you land unless you have to. It is recommended to keep notice of the traveling rockets positions, so that you can preform the Sync properly.
  • Now this part will be explaining the x3 Sync or the Tripple Sync. It is not necassery to learn this as it can only be used in jump maps. So this jump will need 4 rockets. You will need to fire the 1st 2 rockets just like it was explained in the last Sync Jump (x2 Sync). The 3rd rocket will be fired on an edge that is not close to the ground, but atleast half way of the whole distance. It should be fired when the 2 traveling rockets come close to you, but be careful to not fire once they've passed you, because then it will have been too late. The last rocket will of course be fired on the ground once the rest of the rockets come down.

Speed-shooting.
What is Speed-shooting?
Speed-shotting is a similar concept to speed-pogoing except that it doesn't keep the player up in the air and can often result in failure.

Function:
Speed-shooting is mostly used to cover an extreme amount of distance in 1 or 2 shots. It should not be used in any way as pogoing because it can cost a huge amount of health by self-damage or fall-damage. Speed-shooting is also less predictable and harder to preform. It is not recommended to use this technique if you don't want to lose health very quickly.
To preform a Speed-shot you would have to shoot a rocket so that it could explode as soon as you land. This is also the difference in Speed-pogoing and Speed-shooting - Speed-shooting requires for you to land for it to work. The shots do not need to be frame perfect, but should explode about the same time you land.

Additional Notes:
You should preform this technique with a Rocket Jumper, because if you would use any rocket launcher that has the ability to do self-damage, it could combine the type of damage with fall-damage and really cost you a huge amount of health or
Wall-Pogo
What is "Wall-Pogo"?
Well, to be exact "Wall-Pogo" is a technique to perfom "Pogo" on walls, as much as it is similar to pogo, it requires extreme learning and common-sense to perform it.

Functions:
NOTE: Before you perform a Wall-pogo, we suggest you to first learn all the basics of Pogo-jumping.

  • Horizontal Wall-pogo
To perform this technique, you'll need to first rocket jump along a wall as close as you can. While being close to the wall you'll need to use the Pogo-jumping technique, though you are dealing with a wall and not a surface, so to preform this correctly you'll need to control yourself in the air with movement keys, so that the distance between the wall and the player doesn't increase. Though it's not just about movement, it also has to do with where you shoot. If you shoot too low, your height will decrease, but if you shoot too close to yourself, you will send yourself flying away from the wall, regardless of if you're using the movement keys to stay as close to the wall as you can, or not.
  • Vertical Wall-pogo
Now for this, you will start from a simple Pogo, transitioning to the Wall-pogo. First, you need to start pogoing next to a wall. While performing the Pogo, get as close to the wall as you can, face it and keep your position (using the movement keys). When you are in control and can keep Pogoing in the same spot, then it's time to transition to the Wall-pogo. As you're performing the Pogo, slightly move your crosshair on to the wall. Hold W (facing the wall) to ensure you won't drift away and lose control. You should slowly be going up the wall at that point. If you notice you are drifting to the left (usually because of where the stock rocket launcher shoots from), then you will have to constantly tap D and/or by turning slightly left while pogoing up the wall to prevent it, otherwise it could lead you in an unwanted direction. Though this can usually be avoided, if there is an option to Wall-pogo in a corner.

Beggar's-Jumping.
What is Beggar's-jumping?
A Beggar's-jump can be achieved by jumping while using one of the Beggar's Bazooka's 2 techniques.
This form of Jumping is quite different compared to "normal" Jumping. Whilst the normal jumping uses a stock rocket launcher that shoots 1 rocket per .92 seconds, the beggars bazooka can shoot 3 rockets almost instantaneously, or by overloading the rocket launcher, which results in heights that other soldiers with other rocket launchers compared to can't pull off.

Functions:
  • Overload-jumping
The jump is being performed just like a normal rocket jump just with the difficulty of controling and timing your jumps correctly. Due to its 3 rockets it is highly suggested to use the gunboats which grant you less self-inflicted damage. The aim and timing is very important as the impact that the 3 rockets give you are quiet different compared to 1 rocket, which results into an major failure when performed inconsistently. This jump should not be seen like a normal rocket jump, therefore strafing more below you will be greater to achieve massive heights and boosts.
  • Burst-jumping
This type of technique is used to get extreme heights and distances. The speed that can be achieved from this is extraordinary.
The way this works is - the Beggar's Bazooka is loaded up to 3 rockets, the 3 rockets are fired in a way that each one of them has an impact to the result. The 1st rocket is used to start the jump. The 2nd rocket is used to accelerate the jump further. Then the 3rd and final rocket is used to boost the overall speed and power that the previous rockets have given.

Pros and Cons

Pros
  • Greater height jumps and massive pogo-boosts, or boosts in general.
  • Advantage over other players.
  • Speed can make you extremely unexpected to the enemy.

    Cons
  • Extreme self-damage can occurre quickly (can be altered with Gunboats).
  • Inconsistent movement and difficult controling.

Edge-bugging.
Quick explanation of "Edge-bugging" or a common bug that gives advantages.

What is Edge-bugging?

Edge-bugging is when you perfectly hit an edge of a little corner in a specific angle, that results in a slide. If it is done correctly, then you will not receive fall damage and you will gain horizontal speed. This is a hard thing to pull of and can be very unpredictable.
Efficiency of Rocket Jumping.
The extra possiblities.

What is the efficient way?
Rocket Jumping does not depend only on a Rocket Jumper or just jumping afterall, it can be made in several efficient ways, such as the Gunboats and Manndreads.

Manntreads
Manntreads, are boots that enable the soldier to deal damage to opponents upon falling on them, it nullyfies all the fall damage that the soldier might've gotten.

Gunboats
Gunboats, also boots that decrease self damage in a way that benefits different kinds of jumping techniques, it is often used in jumping techniques that are based on taking huge amount of health.

i feel like im the only one that cant fucking c tap ive practiced for like 15 hr and still cant do it if anyone can help me (or link me a script) that would be nice
Tee Time 4 Apr, 2017 @ 11:07am
Also it wouldn't make sense cause for example if you just prefire 2 rockets and jump (with space) it would have the same name as prefiring 2 and jumping with a rocket. But one has a force of 3 rockets and other is only 2.
Tee Time 4 Apr, 2017 @ 11:05am
Prefiring 2 rockets and then rocket jumping after is called a triple well because technically you still sync your 3rd rocket before it hits the ground.

Also, clarification of the thing wasn't my issue. I know how to sync, I'm in the top 100 on Tempus and 879m is ranked in the top 10. I don't mean to sound rude to you guys, we were only trying to help and such, antagonisation was not the intention.
