Description


Version 11 (11.0.0)


Thank you for scoping out the Metro Overhaul Mod. The main goals of this mod are:
  1. NEW Integrate and extend the functionality and versatility of the existing metro network.
  2. Add character to the metro network with new track styles, rendered tunnels and stations.
  3. Extend the functionality of metro with new UI's controlling track aesthetics, as well as underground station depth and length.
  4. Easily switch stations between Metro and Train
  5. Easily customize multitrack stations for metro and train services

    Instructions
    General
    1. Subscribe to the mod and all required items listed on the right side.
    2. Ensure all the associated assets are enabled in the ingame Content Manager.
    3. Metro lines are built like tram lines. You must start by placing a depot (found in the metro menu). This is where metro cars spawn from.
    4. Build your stations, tracks, and lines the way you normally would, only this time, you can go above and below ground!.
    5. Set up your transport lines.

    Unsubscribing (permanently)
    Ghost Mode. Enable Ghost Mode from options and then load and save your cities which use MOM. Then unsubscribe. You may also want to delete the m100 asset to get back the shorter vanilla metro cars. Keep in mind that if you intend on Resubscribing, make sure Ghost Mode is unchecked before starting your city.

    Troubleshooting

    Follow These steps if you believe this mod is causing you problems:
    1. Open Content Manager and go to the Mods Panel, disable all except the mods listed under required mods in the side panel on this page
    2. In Content Manager, go to the Asset Panel and disable all except the assets listed above in the description and those in the required assets on the side panel of this workshop page
    3. Quit to Desktop
    4. Verify Game Cache
    5. Launch the game
    6. Start a new game 100% vanilla - DLC allowed but no other mods other than specified.
      test thoroughly the mod to see if it presents the same problem (yes you may have to play and build a quick test city to do so)
    7. If the problem still persists, please upload the same vanilla save file you tested in making sure you have not used any other custom assets (so they don't disappear when we load it) and paste a link to the savegame in the discussion thread "Troubleshooting Savegames". Savefiles uploaded on third party servers will not be accepted.

    If you do not complete these steps and submit a savegame we cannot help you.

i wanted to visit an old city of mine with this mod enabled.
unfortunately, the mod is now broken; the mod itself works as intended, but certain assets now flicker in and out of existence (might not apply to you, but this was after WEEKS of investigation. i have thousands of subscribed assets, and more than 80 mods).

your best bet is to subscribe to the MOM replacement collection.

Aug 1st, 2025: Subbed to the v9.0+ Collection found on this page and included it in an already modded save with 58 other mods. The game on launch warned that a mod had been made with an old version of the game, and Skyve reported a warning and a compatibility flag with FPS booster, but in game there were no issues.

The metro depot sometimes has issues with spawning trains, but thats normal. Follow the instructions found in the depot description CORRECTLY and it will work as it always has.

Note: MOM has a station conversion feature that will convert train stations to metro lines and vise versa. However, this does not work for the CCP Train Stations. To convert those stations, use RON (I turned off its network auto-swap option in content manager) and the relevant MOM replacement rail assets :

The current problem is that even if the metro depot has been built (connected to the line), num of vehicles add or decrease unsteably.(With TLM)

我個人是可以用,只是發車要連接車庫發車有點麻煩
不然可以任意變換車站軌道的功能還不錯

Okay, once and for all, if we want to get technical, this mod has BEEN broken for over 2 YEARS now (since May 23, 2023). If you don't see any response, or updates, from the creators, and you see that it is messing with your game, then at THAT moment, is when you realize that you're most likely "USING IT AT YOUR OWN RISK".

As I've stated multiple times in this section, if it's not working for you, then PLEASE follow the instructions above on how to unsub / delete it, so it doesn't damage your game(s). It's that simple.

@TH3_S3RV1C3 - I totally agree with you that this mod is very useful, due to its customization of the stations, and realism of having to place a depot strategically. Love it! 😁

Now, June 2025, this mod it's Broken. Do not install it. It's a shame, it was a very useful mod.

There's an error that pops up somewhat every 5 seconds. I use the extended error reporting and its something to do with the AI and depot I think. Anyways I tried to turn off the AI option on the settings but still it causes errors.

To all who hasn't been reading comments...

This mod is NOT being supported any longer. It hasn't been supported in a while if you look at the last time it was updated.
