So I wanted to build an insanely large base in space but something that could be used for fun in a coop/multiplayer environment. Single Player folks will probably have no use for this unless they just want to have it (do it!) But in a coop game or multiplayer server, I could see folks having some fun with this and I hope you do. Use some imagination and have at it.

This BA Blueprint of a space port contains:

- a CV Terminal with docks for two CV's (used the starter cv blueprints in screenshots to demonstrate size)
- a tram area leading out to the CV Terminal
- a Tram! (sold separately...look for link)
- a food court and waiting area in the CV Terminal
- a SV Terminal with docks in multiple sizes for up to 13 SV's
- a Repair Dock in the SV Terminal
- a Trade floor on the opposite side of the spaceport. At the moment purely cosmetic. If/when the devs get around to working on in-game trading, I may be able to build on this further
- a main lobby "check-in" area.
- and of course "customer parking" in the front
- ATM's now available!

The tram area noted will work currently with a SV. I used my Epic Xpress SV (for the Epicus Space Depot blueprint) and modified it a bit specifically to operate as a Tram for the Spaceport. The Tram comes with several passenger seats, an o2 tank for anyone needing to tap up prior to departure and there are some LCD screens available that you can make use of as you see fit. Because of the size of this spaceport, I felt it appropriate to add this area and design a SV that could be used within the confines of the BA.

I did add some defense to the spaceport. I did this after I finished the final touches. A total of 34 turrets (max permitted for a BA); assortment of minigun, cannon, pulse, flak, rocket, plasma and artillery. I envisioned this spaceport to be in a neutral area, a place of business & commerce but just in case hopefully this will help.

Nice. Back when I originally posted this, it would have fit for most CVs. I used the two original prefab CVs the Devs put in the game from MrIceCat since they were my favorite ones to run around space in. Seems like nowdays though CVs they are bigger and bigger. I'll take a look at that Malamute, thanks for letting me know.

Sorry for bump, wanted to note the Malamute CV fits as though you had designed the cupped CV hangar just fofr it. Should throw a screenshot of that parked in it. Demonstrates the size quite well.

I have to admit, that's pretty funny. Sorry, just assumed less lights=less lag. Not sure what went wrong with the change. Well,I'll be building this on our server next to Vexray's custom planet Andromeda we just threw in. So people in the stream will get to see it either way. Just one catch: I'm renaming the group "lights" to "Self destruct button" in hopes nobody turns them on. Now if only they could forget their T key lol.

I removed 973 flares and it went from class 9 to class 10 :steamhappy: Not sure how that got calculated but the removal of flares didn't do the class downsize. Quite honestly, back when I first uploaded it, the BA was a class size 6 (last screenshot). That was several versions ago of alpha and the devs have changed things. While I have done some tweaks here and there in-between (change notes), I've kept it pretty much true to original design. The devs have done something that changed the class designation. Probably more related to number of blocks/weapons which would mean either a defenseless port or a much smaller one. My best guess anyhow.

I did try though. Drop me a IM if you had other ideas.

I could make one, not a big deal. I actually hadn't heard anything from subscribers regarding class size previously. I can load it up and trim some toppings off of it and offer it up as a different version. I appreciate the note and have no problem doing a field day on the spaceport.

So.. I may remove a few flares, class 9 is a bit much for server purposes. If I did so, is there a way I could send you a 'flare-less' version of this? Since minus just the flares, it'd probably drop to a class 5/6.

Blueprint has been updated with Alpha 4.0.0 goodness. I'll be overwriting the workshop in a bit. Details will be in the change log.
