So if i convert the Gmod model and bring that into SFM it should in theory be fixed?

Yeah, the original glowmap is a flat purple. This is actually fixed in the Gmod version though

ah i see, so its mostly after effects editing and what not? because ive been doing a few animations with this model but the purple glowing skin doesnt glow at all for me, it just looks like a flat purple color on him.

took the picture with the "dim" glow-maps, then whilst using after effects, I used "change to color" on the purple and set it to lightness as opposed to the default (Hue) and changed the purple color to white. when it was just the purple that was white, I added a separate layer and added the "glow" effects and changed it to a purple glow.

how did you get him to glow like that?
