Don't Land on Your Head

Description
The main chamber of this test was inspired by the Long-Fall Boots advertisement.

Initially a self-test on how faith-plates line up through portals, this became a full test, centered around quick thinking and quick firing. So get your twitchy finger ready!

I'm sorry, but i just don't like ninja tests very much. gave up at the second part

Sorry about that. I'm assuming you are talking about the second fling. That went through about 60 iterations before I got one that I was happy with. Each iteration was tested once by myself, and if passed, then twice more. If it failed any of the three, it was redone, with panels being moved up and down, in and out, and re-angled. It took about six solid hours of tweaking to get it to a point where it could be solved consistently. One bug I can't account for is the angle at which the player steps onto the faith plates. If you step onto it from too far to the side, it won't work, because the plate compensates too precisely towards the target. I'm sorry you weren't able to complete it, and thank you for the feedback.

To reiterate: I would NEVER release a map I couldn't beat myself consistently, even if I thought somebody else could.

I am sorry, but I do not think this test can be solved unless you are a god. When I make reaction tests, I play them myself. If I can't beat them in 3 tries, then there is a problem.

Oh wow! Thanks for the video, I wouldn't have known what you meant without it! I'm gonna do something about that now. Hm... Ah, I think I got something.

I fixed that previous exploit, by adding some fizzlers and lasers. A quick note: Except the lasers in front of the exit door, none of the fizzlers were planned around the flings, it all just kind of worked, and made me really happy. The whole fizzler/long-funnel puzzle was kind of an afterthought that made the whole thing seem more complete, while also filling up the hugeness of the empty room some more.

I think I'll make it so you have to get to the button in order to access the exit, that way, if you DID manage to get there early, the door would be closed. But I'm still interested in how you did it with only one jump.

Oh, Idiot me, I left that panel up one too high... Un momento por favor.

Aha! I figured out how it's supposed to be solved, I think. That's pretty annoying :/

I was fighting faith plate trajectories and angled platforms all this afternoon, so I'm interested to see how you handled it.

Argh, they're already better than mine ;_;

Also, I solved the thing at the end without any faith plates at all except the first one; not sure if that was the intended solution or not.

Wow, you did it that fast, rofl.

Yeah, it wasn't a very "What do I have to do?" test, it was more of a "I know what I have to do, [but I can't/and I did it]" test.

Fits description. Great Test.
