The Scorpion: Wall Climber

Description
Block Count: 19

This is a modified version of "The Cricket" which incorporates a grabbing arm with a deadly "sting". This makes beating certain levels far easier, without increasing size or block count by much. If you remove the arm and explosive it becomes 15 blocks which is similar to the Cricket but adds an extra flying block, for more downforce, (you will need to change the rear ballast for balanced flight).

Like the Cricket, the Brown Recluse and the Magnetar (see links below) this is an all vanilla machine. To achieve the speed setting on the flying blocks, I set a motor wheel speed to 2.0 and then copied it over to the flying blocks. The rest of the machine was built using the fps glitch and half block placements.

Again, the Scorpion like its forebear can be driven on both of its sides. As this machine is very narrow it can easily climb thin objects such as the swords on Argus Ground or fit through portcullises on the Ipsilon castles.

Without the flying blocks active the Scorpion will wheelie, which is useful if you want to flip the device over in order to fly, the wheels when in flight act as reaction wheels to steer the craft in the air. Note, this is trickier to fly than Cricket due to the grabbing arm moving the centre of mass.

This build can beat all 30 zone without adding blocks. The Scorpion uses a firework built into the machine to destroy Ipsilon brick or to extinguish the Sacred Flame. To extinguish the flame I recommend destroying the castle and forcing the flame to the ground to extinguish it with the thrust of the rocket. For the surrounded level, it is easiest to beat if you reverse the fan direction.

Controls:
Up arrow: for forward
Left arrow: bank left, combine with up arrow to turn on the spot
Right arrow: bank right, again combine with up arrow to turn on the spot
T key: turn on firework, and release the grabber, I suggest mapping the grabber to another key for the Sacred Flame so the rocket doesn't fly off in use.
Q and E: Raise or lower the grabbing arm to grab stuff, can also be used to aid in flipping the machine
O key: Toggle flying blocks for downforce or for flight.

I highly recommend looking at Ross Plasvic's Brown Recluse tutorial video as it shows his build beating the levels, my machine essentially functions the same, plus I'm no good at recording vids: http://gtm.steamproxy.vip/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=575475348&searchtext=brown+recluse

And also Algae's Magnetar: http://gtm.steamproxy.vip/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=619325759&searchtext=magnetar
His video is also very good, again, functionally very similar, more so than the Cricket as this build uses a grabbing arm like the Magnetar.
