Dark Heresy (2nd Edition) Character Generator (Warhammer 40k Roleplay)

Description
This is an attempt to streamline the Second Edition Dark Heresy Character Generation process. Seems there is all kinds of 40k tabletop stuff around Tabletop simulator, and I wanted to bring some tools for the RPG to Table Top Simulator.

It is simply a way to build a characters basic background in a few minutes, the Dark Heresy second edition core rulebook is still needed for gameplay. Simply shuffle the bags, draw out a token from each and quick either copy down the info provided or copy and paste the text into a template (I didn't provide one since I never am able to edit them in a satisfactory matter).
The Dark Heresy second edition expansions have been added onto the sideboard, so feel free to incorporate those options into your character creation!

Please feel free to contact me about this, issues, suggestions ect.

--Paraphrased from the back of the 1st Edition Dark Heresy Book:
Dark Heresy is a Roleplaying game set in the grimdark of the 41st Millenium, setting the players in the role of acolytes in the service of the shadowy and secretive Inquisition. Players will fight in a secret war, to hunt out the foul stench of heresy, the vile corruption of the alien and the twisted influence of the dark powers. They will tread where others fear, venture to distant planets and the unsavory depths of the universe.

All Warhammer 40k names ect. ect. are copyrighted by Games Workshop, Dark Heresy is a product of Fantasy Flight Games.

OTHER THINGS I INTEND TO MAKE:
-- Right now I hope to make a character generator for other games in the 40k universe.. Here's how I am doing:
ONLY WAR (vanilla+hoe + soh): http://gtm.steamproxy.vip/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=765484085
ROUGE TRADER (vanilla): http://gtm.steamproxy.vip/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=681187684
DEATHWATCH (vanilla): REMOVED
ASCENSION: Seems easy enough, just a matter of putting all the pathways to ascension together.. Maybe another side project I do while bored.. No work has been started on this,
BLACK CRUSADE: http://gtm.steamproxy.vip/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=921301210
DARK HERESY 1ST ED: http://gtm.steamproxy.vip/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=897041946
DARK HERESY 2ND ED: Your looking at it.

-- I also hope to publish a series of maps/dungeons for 40k roleplay to use in some type of Warhammer Adventure League...But that's a big picture goal. Which is becoming more and more of a more likely goal as the summer approaches. I already have a few maps made, but I am going to make a written walkthrough of the missions prior to putting them on the workshop. May 2016: Obviously, this hasn't happened yet, so unfortunately this is going to be some time.. It isn't that I don't have stuff set up, its that I know the minute I put it online I am going to want to run the darn thing.. Once I get a good runthrough with some players I can put it online..

--Once these things get made I will definitely link to them or indicate them being finished in the item description.

It seems to me that recruiting for a 40k (or Warhammer fantasy) RPG has a few hurdles to it, there isn't the same demand for these RPG's as there are for other brands, so they tend to be buried, then suddenly spring back to life once someone finds it. After some thinking, I believe it would be beneficial to create a group similar to the one(s) that exist for Warhammer 40k (miniatures) where people can find playes/groups to join, arrange campaigns and one-offs. However, would that actually be something useful? If you think it might be, join the group!

Yeah Black crusade is pretty awesome, the power level is something else entirely, and my experience is it quickly turns into players killing other players, but it is fun.

(btw i bought the core book just for the artwork and was not disapointed. Got it super cheap too I remember, tho it's been awhile.)

awesome, I'll definetly check it out later! I was just thinking about Black Crusade recently, wishing I had more free time to play it. Whether this helps or not with that, I'm excited to check it out at the least! Thanks for all the hard work! :word_bearers:

All in All, I feel it is best to leave Black Crusade Character Generation in more capable hands.. whatever I make may not be correct.. But if people want a character generator I can try it.

The difficulty is strictly a personal difficulty, since there are two different types of character (Human and Chaos Space Marine), one of which gets a ton of abilities right off the bat (CSM) while the other gets a ton of personally tailored abilities (Human) I would basically be making two character generators in one.. Plus my personal experience with Black Crusade is mainly composed of uphill battles and crazy balance issues related to the party.. The Tome Archetypes are markedly incresaed in XP level, and I have never found a useful explanation of what effect that has on the core Archetypes.

curious, but I don't understand the trouble with Black Crusade? I've neve RP'd before and was interested in BC, so is it unbalanced or something? confusing?
