Amphion - Triton - Small Mining Ship

Amphion is proud to present the Triton, the second lightest and most compact of the manned, fully-equipped atmospheric miners that are available in the lineup. It weighs in at less than 45,000kg and has an array of three drills to do your typical digs. The main reason it's able to perform similarly to others in the lineup as such is its lift and reverse thrust ratio is much higher than the other four directions of force, removing some of the forward acceleration that the others feature; even though this can easily be compensated for by flying like a helicraft.

Two batteries and four reactors power the Triton, providing sufficient power no matter which way you choose to fly. A modest armament ensures that those pesky pirates won't be bothering you for long, and an enshrouded cockpit provides ample protection from falling debris (if you're careful). The LCD displays on the Triton are in fact real-time, providing pertinent information such as cargo mass, total cargo, positioning, among other things.

As with other Amphion miners, the Triton series is equipped with a maintenance projector, remote control, and an oxygen generator to provide maximum versatility no matter where you decide to construct it. (Except in space. You can't really work with this thing in space).

The Triton is intended to be that inexpensive, robust starter miner that gets you through the rough and early startup period of your planetary mining operations.

As with all Amphion Vessels, the Triton is all vanilla. Customize it with aftermarket parts if you like!
