Q: How extensive will the Controller support be? I'd like to use my Xbox/PS3/PS4/etc controller.
A: The development team has expressed their desire to support a wide range of controllers. http://gtm.steamproxy.vip/workshop/filedetails/discussion/527581541/483367798498472078/#c490124466478317993

Q: What engine will the game be running on?
A: RWBY: Grimm Eclipse is being developed on the Unity engine. http://gtm.steamproxy.vip/workshop/filedetails/discussion/527581541/483367798498472078/#c490125737482689784

Q: Will you have more than one game mode?
A: "Mode and such will be announced soon. " - Skilltacular http://gtm.steamproxy.vip/workshop/filedetails/discussion/527581541/483367798498472078/#c490124466478313718

Q: Everytime I quit the game, I lose all my levels and start from Level 1! What's going on? Is the game not saving?
A: When the campaign ends or you leave the game, you will lose your leveling and points you gained. The game works under a MOBA-style level-up system as seen in DOTA2, Heroes of the Storm, and Smite: When you start the campaign from the beginning, you and your team will start at level 1 every time; if you enter a game farther along, your level will be around the rest of the players' levels.

Q: What is actually saved?
A: What is saved across the game is:
  • the number of total kills
  • the number of totals kills done by an ability,
  • how many times you revived teammates
  • challenges you've completed, and their corresponding rewards

Q: I can't seem to get to Level 10! What's going on? Am I doing something wrong?
A: Players CAN reach level 10. That being said, gaining experience can be made easier by doing additional actions in addition to defeating Grimm. Some of these actions are:
  • Searching areas for Crates, breaking them open, and discovering XP orbs
  • Searching areas for Artifacts (Items in the form of Golden Chess piece) hidden throughout the campaign.
  • Use your abilities in an efficient manner, particularly to defeat multiple enemies with a special ability; the more enemies killed in a single attack, the better.
  • During the Super Ursa fight in Chapter ? and the Bomb Disposal mission in the final chapter, Grimm will continue to spawn indefinitely until the Ursa is defeated/Bomb is disposed. If you are defeated or the bomb explodes prior to reaching the end, you WILL lose the experience earned.
Campaign
Q: How long does it take to finish a campaign?
A: The available campaign can be done under 2 hours with no restarts, etc; Speedrunners have been able to complete the game under 30 minutes. The game is currently early access so this campaign is to give players the general ideas the creators want to show.

Q: What locations will the game take players to?
A: The campaign in its current form takes the players through the Emerald Forest and Mountain Glenn; the final product will show additional areas, including areas never before seen in the series. As revealed in the RWBY Livestream 2015 #RWBYLive on Dec. 19th, 2015, the next area to be added to the game is Forever Falls, first seen in RWBY's Black Trailer, as well as a new, unnamed location. https://youtu.be/H92JeVJIA8Q?t=24m50s

Blake Belladonna
Q: How exactly does the Coup de Grace ability work? What do you need to do to gain points towards the challenge?
A: Coup de Grace is described as "Defeat enemies with a final attack during a combo to unlock this ability". To achieve this, one must kill a Grimm with the final "attack" of your combo; in Blake's case, it is by either using her main combo (Attack->Attack->Attack->Attack) by pressing the attack command 4 times, or by attacking one to three times and ending with a shoot. It will not count if the Grimm is killed by any other part of that attack combo.

Q: Will Team JNPR be in the game?
A: Team JNPR (Jaune Arc, Nora Valkyrie, Pyrrha Nikos, and Lie Ren) has been confirmed as planned content by the developers during the RWBY Livestream #RWBYLive on Dec. 19th, 2015. https://youtu.be/H92JeVJIA8Q?t=20m12s

Q: Will there be Local Co-op?
A: In the current build, there is NO Local Co-op; additionally, it does not seem such an option is a priority in the game's development. http://gtm.steamproxy.vip/workshop/filedetails/discussion/527581541/483367798498472078/#c483367798498484482

Q: Will there be a option in the future to create your own character?
A: The inclusion of a character maker feature in the official release of RWBY: Grimm Eclipse is unlikely. http://gtm.steamproxy.vip/workshop/filedetails/discussion/527581541/483367798498472078/#c490125737482675135

Q: Will there be any cutscenes, animation, etc. done by the RWBY series animation team?
A: It is an idea but dependent on the animation team's schedule. http://gtm.steamproxy.vip/workshop/filedetails/discussion/527581541/483367798498472078/#c485623406958990279

Q: Will the game have Modding Support, PvP, etc?
A: "We're a small team, so we have to focus on the core game first. We don't see this being in for this release." - Skilltacular http://gtm.steamproxy.vip/workshop/filedetails/discussion/527581541/483367798498472078/#c490125737482689784 http://gtm.steamproxy.vip/workshop/filedetails/discussion/527581541/483367798498472078/#c490124466478387845

I have a question, why are the Grimm so strong in the start!? I can't remember how many times my Aura would get knocked back to 30% or so whenever I would play the first missions, it's infuriating!

Has anyone else discovered this bug? Whenever I start up the game in single player and play as Ruby or Yang their character textures and colours are all scrambled. At first I thought it might be a de-synced patch so I uninstalled and reinstalled the game, unfortunately that had no effect. Has anyone else had this problem and how do I fix it?

[RWBY] Ruby Rose (♂) I see what your saying and you do make sense just for some people like myself wouldn't mind having more variety among characters to play. But wether it happens or not won't bother me too much if it happens excellent more characters to play with if it don't happen that's too bad but understandable.
Kazuma Satou  [author] 18 Mar, 2016 @ 11:02am
@Dakotacharlesbb It isn't so much that it is too early to ask but rather there are no plans for any more teams as, for a small development team in Rooster Teeth, two balanced teams with a total of 8 unique and effective characters alongside a full campaign is more than enough on their plate for their first game.
