=====================================

THIS IS NOT A DOWNLOAD-AND-FORGET PLUG-IN!

The .esp file is an empty dummy for SW purposes only. It does not need to be activated - really it doesn't even need to be downloaded but it would be cool if you did so, for the stats/ratings.

(Thank you to all the kind souls who've already done so. It's appreciated.)

There's no real need to STAY subscribed to this 'mod', the .esp will never change. Instructions for how to "deal with" future updates (patches) to the Skyrim.exe are included in the project and all other changes will be reported in full on the project homepages & briefly below.

The full STVC project is a six-stage compilation of ten or so of the best & most useful mods & plug-ins for voice control -

- all included with the full permission of the individual authors

- with customised configuration files, profiles & 'tweaks' supported by easy-to-follow instructions, demo & tutorial videos & some useful, printer-friendly 'crib sheets'.

- the only other thing you need is a (decent) PC microphone!

WARNING - This project has the power to not only change the way you play Skyrim, but also to change the way you THINK about playing Skyrim, forever!

It can be downloaded directly from the Projects' home-pages :-

http://www.dwvac.com/stvc/STVC_Stage6_FULL.php (38MB, Zipped)

I've set up a dedicated email account so you can get the fastest assistance possible in privacy:-

***********************
stvc.support@live.nl

***********************

The prime support location (part of the official VAC support forum) remains:-

http://www.dwvac.com/vac_phpBB3/viewforum.php?f=9

but I'll also give (very) basic support here.

If you've never manually installed & tweaked a Skyrim mod yourself, this is probably not the place to start - to get the best out of the project you'll need to be(come) comfortable editing profiles & configuration files as well as copy/pasting files in various places within the Skyrim folder layout. I have spent a lot of time making it as easy to follow as I can, you don't need to be a geek to follow it ;)

If you wish to use the comments section below, please read everything that's already there first - if you bring up an issue that's already been dealt with, I'll be totally ruthless with the 'delete post' button. Yes, us workshop authors have that power! (I've already had to delete several due to repetition, irrelevence or crudity)

There are discussion threads on the homepages which are intended for more open (and uncensored) dialogue.

I too find it a P.I.T.A. that there are so few comments per page and the whole thing is 'upside down' but that's down to Steam, we have to live with it for now.

*** HOT NEWS - 18th August 2012 ***

STVC 1.770.6.311 is released.

Dawnguard-compatible, includes brand-new "Stage 6" with voice-controlled teleportation, equipment set swaps & VAC 'slumber/wake' commands.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
DISCLAIMER.

This project exists because of, and is reliant upon, a third-party commercial application called "Voice Activated Commands" (VAC). This is not Skyrim-specific & can be configured by the user for ANY keyboard/mouse dependent PC (XP/Vista/7) game or application. However the latest versions have been developed in consultation with several Skyrim/STVC users to provide functionality & flexibility that is unmatched by ANY other application. The VAC installer included in the project is a fully-functional 30-day trial of the latest stable release version.

If you are the kind of person who thinks that they have the right to have everything they want for free, that people who have spent YEARS developing & supporting a worthy product should not be compensated for it, then "jog on, kitty".

Within the project documents is a link to a special registration arangement on the VAC website, for STVC users only, that gives lifetime support & updates for HALF the normal price, that's less than the cost of a movie ticket. The support is VERY good, the developer is responsive to the needs & wishes of the users - He says he enjoys the challenge!

The author of this project does not seek donations & has neither sought nor accepted any kind of 'reward' whatsoever from the developer of VAC or anywhere else. That's just a personal choice.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Finally ...

It is sincerely hoped, by both the creator of VAC & by the author of this project, that it can be of benefit to at least some of those people who cannot use a keyboard in the same manner that most of us just take for granted..... It's only a hope, and a prayer, not a demand or a condition.

I've been away for a while, clocked up over 10,000 hrs on Elite: Dangerous until I 'burned out' on it. Now that the first part of 'Beyond Skyrim' has been released I'm gonna try to re-instal & start playing again - but I've forgotten EVERYTHING :(
I doubt that STVC will ever get upgraded again, I don't have the time or energy for that as I also took up Olympic (Recurve/Freestyle) Archery in 2016 & that will always be my focus, sorry guys.

very nice thank you

You could just click the download link that they put in the mod description; if you complain about donations, that's just being a dick. If it's actively misleading you to pay for it, then you can complain all you want.
