It's not too big of a problem I guess.. but for the expense, there are so many better tactics so it comes down to the risk not being worth the reward imo: like even if you wanted to spawn a fleet with spinal cannons, their expense is so great that allowing the AI to use it is like asking to lose R.
Mostly though, the weapons are in an okay state of balance, but there are pieces missing that would help make the endgame weapons more viable... like even a change as easy as making them penrose instead of rectangles could probably help piece them into a ship easier instead of leaving large gaps directly to the command core and the weapons themselves. I mean think about this, if you want a spinal cannon... show me a spinal cannon on a parasitic ship that's actually centered. It's not an easy thing to do (and actually you kind of need to use some weird math off of a point defense laser in order to get 'straight' from penrose angles).

but as the modder is trying to give us new available options to build with, its kindof hard to go back and fix everything to be perfectly stable with the other clan, guns, ships, and P ratio.
we could always fix it, but thats greywolf's part of the job, so
conclusion: its not that bad of an op ship due to it being pretty much 8k p
