SMC RX-959 Orbital Railgun

The recent discovery of habitable planets, and more importantly the resources they contain, has sparked a race to be the first to stake a claim. Several reports of minor skirmishes betwen competitors have already come in, and the conflicts are rumored to be escalating. In light of this, the SMC has begun preparing for the possibility of all-out war over these newfound resources. One product of these preparations is the RX-959 Orbital Railgun.

The RX-959 fires a solid metal slug at exteremly high speeds, and the sheer kinetic energy in the projectile means it does extreme damage on impact. The railgun can be reloaded, armed, and fired in a matter of seconds, and the on-board storage compartment carries enough materials for more than 30 shots. Power is supplied solely via the large solar panel array, however a large bank of batteries ensures power is always available.

As always, this SMC design is mod-free and survival compatible.
