What is Break Bad?
Break Bad is a gamemode that can be played either in free-for-all or in teams (although most of the highlighted, available servers have teams anyway). In this gamemode, teams must compete and fight each other to gain money for their team. They start unarmed, and they can start fighting by either buying a weapon, picking up a weapon dropped to the ground, or wait 30 seconds to automatically arm yourself (with fists). If someone shoots an unarmed person, they get fined. If that fine can’t be paid, the person gets jailed, meaning that they’re forced to be disarmed and cannot pick up weapons on the ground. The more money you have, the more access you have to higher tier weapons. The team that has collected the most money total wins the game.
Objectives and interaction zones.
The game also has these “interaction zones” and conditions that help teams gain money. The following are:

Loot pickup: walking to this “zone” gives you loot that you have to deliver to a certain area in the map. You can see the area where you need to deliver the loot in the HUD, but if you get killed, you lose the loot and the enemy that kills you gets the reward instead. If you deliver the loot, you gain around 60 some dollars of money, and that money is added towards your team’s score. Players carrying loot are identified by a green dollar sign near their feet.

Disarm zone: This zone allows you to sell all the weapons in your inventory and makes you unarmed for a minute. According to the wiki, you also gain a bowler hat, and anybody that shoots you (while you are unarmed) will lose all their money and will be jailed. (you also get a money reward for being shot while unarmed.) You also recover all of your health, so this is a good choice to make if you want to keep your killstreak. Also, thanks to a recent update, you can right click to exit out of unarmed mode at any time, and you’ll re-enter the fight with brass knuckles.

Buy zones: Areas that become available to unarmed players. It’s only really a place of convenience for buying weapons if you don’t have a good/safe place to buy.

Discount chests: In a normal game of FoF, higher tier weapons are provided by chests found throughout the maps (blue being low tier and gold being top tier). In break bad, those chests are replaced by discount chests. Being nearby a discount chest allows you to not only buy weapons, but provides a discount as well. Different chests have different discount prices. The red chest (mid tier) provides a 30% discount, and gold chests provide 50% discounts. (Blue chests don’t provide discounts, so they usually don’t appear in their normal spot.) All of these said chests are green, so it’s a good idea to familiarize yourself with the location of red and gold chests so you know which discount you’re going to get in a certain area.

Most Wanted: If a player gets a bunch of kills and survives for a long time, that person becomes the most wanted. Players that are most wanted will get a waypoint every now and then when they kill that reveals their position. Most wanted players are also identified with a red dollar sign by their feet. However, the good thing about being most wanted is that you gain more money per kill while being most wanted. The person who kills the most wanted player gains money similar to killing a player carrying loot.
Additional notes/mechanics
  • If you spawn and you choose to buy weapons while armed enemies are close by, you'll teleport to a different area of the map to prevent being spawncamped.

  • If you are an armed player, you won't have much access to buy zones, as buy zones are more directed towards unarmed players. Go to a discount chest to buy any extra gear you might need.

  • Spending money doesn't hurt your team's score. Your team's score is counted by money collected, not the current money everyone on the team has.

  • You cannot go to a disarm zone while carrying loot. If you are most wanted and you go to a disarm zone, you no longer become most wanted and you are unarmed.

  • You can still drink whiskey while unarmed. If you recently entered a disarm zone and someone shoots you, you can still heal up with some whiskey before you get back into the fight.
Useful tips/strategies
  • Be the most annoying citizen you can be. Unarmed people can body block armed players and they'll have nothing to do against that because if they shoot you, they'll get fined. This means standing in front of doorways to "trap" people or standing in someone's way while they try to flee or defend themselves.

  • Trick peope into shooting you while you are disarmed. A handy way of doing this is to go to a disarm zone whenever you are being chased by someone. Once you are disarmed, you can move towards your enemy (perferably around a corner) to surprise him. If he shoots you, congrats, you got extra money and you bruised someone's ability to use quality guns. If he doesn't, then don't bother about it; you're safe and you can move freely without having to deal with enemies.

  • Watch out for griefers while you are unarmed. Some people will follow unarmed players until those players become armed by force. That person will then kill you, making you waste 30 seconds (or even a minute) of your time doing things for the team. If this happens to you, try to get away from that person, and if he follows you, try to lure him into your other teammates or his enemies.

  • Always buy according to the conditions of the match. If you have a lot of money, you might want to take other powerful people on with more powerful weaponry. If you're low on money, try buying brass knuckles and acquire your weapons through other people.

  • You don't always have to buy. You can stroll around the map and look for any weapons that were dropped. Keep in mind that other players might try to do this as well, so if you killed somebody and there are unarmed enemies nearby, take the weapons from the ground so you don't have to deal with another person. Doing this will also grant you the opportunity to gift some discarded weapons to any unarmed/disarmed members on your team, so be considerate of your peers whenever you find yourself to have spare arms.

Break Bad is so unbalanced. The only way to win is to grab the loot, and dual-wielding is ridiculous.
