If you got your Codemasters game crashing into desktop, with error "the video driver nvlddmkm stopped working and was restored correctly" you need to lower some your nvidia card hardware settings with NVIDIA Inspector utility.

1. Download & run NVIDIA Inspector utility
2. Press "Show Overclocking"
3. Lower your Memory Clock by pressing "-10" button.
4. Lower your Shadow Clock by pressing "-10" button.
5. Increase your Voltage by moving slider FOR ONE STEP to the right.
6. Press "Apply Clocks & Voltage".

Run GRID2/GRID Autosport =)

P.S. I'm changing this settings each time i want to play Codemasters games, in all other games Default settings is ok. You can make shortcut to your settings by pressing "Create Clocks Shortcut"."

Nathan, this crashes usually happened with codemasters games because of overclocked hardware - cpu or videocard. So, try to reset to stock settings all that.

If nothing helps, then maybe there is some hardware problems, i.e. wrong bios settings (clock/voltage/etc) or incompatible hardware devices.

I bought this game, I swear it is rigged to crash when you start to get ahead. I can complete a round fine if I come in last, but as soon as I even get a little headway, like getting in 12/16 that's when the crashing starts. I have tried everything you said above, kinda angry, this game has given me nothing but problems. Not to mention the insanely hard AI...

still funny though that you have to change the clock settings to get it working properly ;) never experienced any crash caused by graphics card but yeah I'm using an amd card.

Well, it's so small downgrade that it cannot be really felt =)

so you basically have to DOWNGRADE your graphics card performance in order to play the game properly? lol
