Description
Play as Chairman Sheng-Ji Yang, leader of The Human Hive, from Sid Meier's Alpha Centauri.

Trait
-33% unhealthiness from cities and populations.
Overall empire health caps at 5.

The Human Hive suppresses individualism for the greater good, meaning better support for large, denser populations and wide-spread empires. A lack of exceptionalism means the faction does not receive bonuses for prosperous or utopian empires.

- The Human Hive suffers -33% less unhealth per population as well as per city. Does not affect unhealth from city resistance or improvements.
- Empire wide health caps at 9. As such, the empire cannot receive the prosperous or utopian bonuses. Any health above 9 will still counteract future unhealth.
- -15% culture generated by cities.

Know Issues

There's a serious issue that affects many sponsor mods with custom leaderscenes. The mods can cause the game to crash to desktop when used in conjunction with the default civs. A current fix is to play the game with the leaderscenes set to minimum. In the meantime, modders are investigating a proper fix. You can do your part by notifying Firaxis of this widespread issue.

I know I'm way late to the party, but...Rising Tide version when? Human Hive is such a big concept in Alpha Centauri.

Doesn't work. Loaded them all in /mods, activated them all in the mods screen, no new civs to choose from.

I actually purposely lowered the health cap when the patch came out. The entire crux of the trait is that the human hive can't earn bonuses from extra health. I am considering removing their culture penalty because you are right, the patch made the health bonuses much stronger.

I think the health cap should be increased a little bit more as in vanilla civ beyond earth there are cumulative bonuses for excess health

I have not tried it in multiplayer. I don't see why not if you follow the usual multiplayer-mod install instructions.
