The event sequencer works in such a way that the first event must be completed before the second, and so forth. You cannot do any event in any order that you desire. Thus, it's really kind of a bad idea to throw random treasures on each side of the map, for the players are subject to get each of those treasures in that order. Given the "hints" by your NPCs, the first treasure seems to be in the east. Thus, the player(s) who start in the east will be inevitably advantaged by this.
I would suggest taking the treasures off of the map entirely and making weapons and items purchasable through shops. Two more villages can be put in the left-center and right-center of the map to accommodate for this, each with equivalent weapons/items.
I will grant more criticism as this map progresses.
