Description
I think that the rate of replenishment of mercenary pools is to high in vanilla. Last stand AI is therefore able to recruit a full stack army of mercenaries with its last wandering general... and the player can recruit many mercenaries if he lost many men, or if an ennemy's army is approaching. Recruited men are not precious in vanilla, since you can recruit a lot of mercenaries each turn. This is unbalanced. In reality there were not infinite resources of mercenaries!!

This mod simply divides all replenishment rates by around 3. Now they are at min 0.05, and at max 0.25, i.e. 20 or 4 turns to wait. Vanilla rates could be as high as 0.75 !!! Max mercenaries in a pool has also been lowered by around 25% (max is now 3 instead of 4).

COMPATIBILITY: Possibly incompatible with some other mercs mods. Saved game compatible.

Yep, thanks, I don't use many mercs the way I play, but damn the AI certainly does.

Sounds good! I will use this. We think alike in that instead of making things easy (1 turn techs, unlimited elite units, etc.) harsh reality is preferred. Subscribing right now!
