How to do it
To mute somebody, just press "Esc" to go to the menu and click on the option as in the image below:


Now select the name of the player who is making you go nuts:

Finally, just click on the option at the bottom of the window you just opened:


You can mute and unmute players this way.

I actually don't know if you would need to mute the same person again after the server changes the map or something. I assume you would only need to mute a person once as long as you are playing on the same server. If you change servers and that same person shows up, maybe you would need to mute them again, but I'm not sure.
