BASE GAME OVERVIEW:
Rurik: Dawn of Kiev is a euro-style realm building game set in an 11th century Eastern European kingdom. It features area majority, resource management, and an innovative game mechanic - "auction programming."

You play as a potential successor to the throne following the death of your father, Vladimir the Great, in 1015. Although warfare seems to be the easiest path to success, the people value a ruler who leads well in a variety of endeavors. Your claim to the throne depends on how well you manage the help of your troops and advisors.

In Rurik, players openly bid for actions with their advisors. Stronger advisors earn greater benefits at the cost of performing their action later than other players. Conversely, weaker advisors earn lesser benefits but perform their action quickly. After all advisors are placed, players take turns resolving their lowest numbered advisor, regardless of which action column it is on, and performing the action.

Establish your legacy by constructing buildings and performing great deeds or pursue your own agenda by ruling large areas of land and collecting tribute. Will you win over the hearts of the people to become the next ruler of Kievan Rus?

EXPANSION OVERVIEW:
The throne of Kievan Rus is finally within your grasp, if you can rise above your rival siblings! Build magnificent structures for which you will be remembered forever. Relentlessly attack all who oppose your rule. Will you seize your destiny or fade into obscurity?

Rurik: Stone & Blade is a modular expansion for Rurik: Dawn of Kiev and is divided into core content and three modules. It is recommended to integrate the core content into all future plays of Rurik, regardless of whether you use any modules. You may play with an individual module or any combination of modules.
  • Core Content: More gameplay variety with minimal rules overhead.
  • Module A - Structures: Build structures to your heart’s content.
  • Module B - Warfare: Attack your opponents with vengeance.
  • Module C - Rebel Factions: Suppress the growing rebel opposition to your rule.

@JDublinson The incremental card reveal is indeed necessary to the solo mode. To recreate the auction programming mechanic in the game, the solo card is revealed little by little (from the bottom up) after every player turn. It tells you where to place the AI's Advisor, which might outbid you or block a space, just like a living player would.

Thanks @shockway and @David C! Appreciate the positive feedback. Is slowly revealing the solo cards a requirement? I've just been working on scripting the setup sequence and trying to have everything oriented towards the one solo player instead of having it set up as if you're all sitting around a table together like I have it now

@JDublinson Thank you for the mod! One of my favorite games ever and nice to see it done justice on TTS!

Glad to hear you're working on the solo mode too. I've been making it work somewhat decently by holding the face-up solo deck and dropping the bottom card (Alt+RMB), then immediately flipping the deck and letting it cover the dropped card. That keeps the card from getting pulled into the deck, and then you can just use the Move Gizmo tool to slide the deck up and slowly reveal the card below.

@JDublinson Thank you for volunteering your time and effort towards putting together a great mod.

@paulyd83 this is my first TTS mod I've made, the solo mode requires a very different setup, and a lot of scripting. I'm still working on it. I appreciate the feedback, but this is a free mod I made in my spare time (it's official because the publisher gave me permission and the official assets)

of COURSE solo mode is not supported. This is a disgusting trend I'm noticing, and it's downright discriminating against solo gamers. GMT mods on here are the same way...they refuse to post solo player aids or the solo modes for their games. They honestly should get sued for discrimination.

When playing I've been mostly keeping my side angle view, and it has been helpful to have everything oriented towards the middle. It's not a bad suggestion, it may make more sense if claim board and strategy board were on the same side of the main board, to then have them all oriented the same direction
