Description
This is just a patch. You still need the base version available here.

I agree actually. This way is cleaner. Can you make the mod check for other addons ? Getting into skyrim and figuring out that smithing was messed up would have gotten me to the fix quicker. Granted, I needed to update my video card driver anyways... :p

Oh! Yeah, I'm sorry about that. I had forgotten that automatic updates would happen for people using the normal launcher instead of SKSE. Unfortunately it just makes more sense to have the two be patches now that there's more than 1 DLC that needs it. It would be an extra version to do Base, DG, DB, and DG+DB versions of it, rather than just making the DB and DG versions patches that affect the base one. I should have really always done it this way.

Sorry, I commented on the wrong wone. I had the DG one already installed from when it was a standalone. loading skyrim, it updated automatically and caused a crash.

You would want to use both patches. They only affect the stuff within the specified DLC, so if you just used one, armors from the other would be affected oddly, for example.

If I have both DB and DG, do you recomend having both patches? or is only DB necessary?

@phlinn
I flat-out put that in the description above, in bolded text. I don't know if I could have been any clearer. I'm sorry this caused a problem for you, but yeah, it's just a patch. Any time you attempt to load package file without one of its masters, the game will crash. There is no warning I can build in other than that the master is set.

Well, this morning this made skyrim crash on startup. I had to look at it individually after figuring out it had been updated to realize that it needed the base patch. Hopefully BOSS will be updated to note the requirement. I don't know if there's anyway you could have set an alert message so that it didn't actually load or some other way to prevent that but it would have been nice.
