How to never forget why you added someone!
Do you know that feeling when you added someone and you don't know why you did this? Or maybe someone added you and he doesn't know what he wanted to buy or sell? Solution of this problem is really simple!

You can give someone on your friends list a nickname. It doesn't matter if it is sent request or if someone is already on your list. You can give him or her a name and then remember why you added this person! You can write "added him for keys", "sell hat" ot whatever you want. It is useful mainly for traders. There is also another good reason to use this method: do you have some friends who change their names very often and you can't recognize them? Just give them a nickname!

How to do it?
It's easy - just right click on a person on the friend list who you want to remember. There is an option "Add Nickname". Just press it and write whatever you want. Simple, isn't it? There is a guide step by step with pictures below.
Step by step
Step by step
  • Step 1: Add someone to friends list.

  • Step 2: Find him or her on your friends list.

  • Step 3: Right click on the person which you want to tag. Choose the option "Add Nickname".

  • Step 4: Write whatever you want, for example what you want to buy or sell from her/him.

  • Step 5: PROFIT! Now you know a life hack!
I don't see invitations sent - what to do?
You don't see invitations sent and offline friends on your friends list? It's not a problem. Here is a solution:
  • 1. Go to your friends list and choose "Friends" button in the top left corner.

  • 2. Unclick "Show Online Friends only" (this must be without a tick to see invitations sent and offline friends)

  • 3. Done! Now you can tag someone who is offline or who you sent your invitation for!

If you still don't know how to do it, here is a video

To make everything clear, here is a video version.

It's a really useful and quick tool - you will never make other people waiting! Remember: it's better to make adding someone 5 second longer than wasting 15 minutes searching Outpost and trying to recall :) Share this to people who don't know why they added you! ^^

Another worthwhile thing you can do is have people in a specific drop down menu, so for example I have all the bots I have added under "Bots". This is done by using the 'tag as' option (I believe it's in the same drop down menu that "nickname" is.
