All Achievements Explained
By Jedo
This guide is mainly for the purpose of giving gamers an idea of how easy it is to complete SkyDrift to 100%. I'm not calling this a 100% guide (though it can be treated as such) mainly because the game is so easy to figure out once you get started. This is ore for the purpose of giving insight to prospective players.

Like many other completionists, I know that a lot of you like to do research on your games before trying to complete them. I hope that after reading this guide you'll be able to decide whether or not to play SkyDrift!

If you liked this guide, please check out the other guides that I have made or rate/favorite/follow me for future guides!

Single Player Achievements
All of the achievements listed below can be completed solely through single player.

Combat Ready
Complete Stage 1

This will be one of the first achievements you unlock. The only thing you have to do is either complete all the maps on the stage or meet the condition to unlock the next stage.

Air Race Champ
Complete the campaign.

The entire campaign takes 3-4 hours to complete (maybe less). There are a total of 7 stages with stages 1-6 having multiple maps and races (reverse/power/speed/survival). Stage 7 will only have 1 map while combining all the game modes.

The 4 distinctions to game modes and maps that you have to make are:

Reverse - The map will be in reverse. Speed/Power/Survival match variations still apply here.
Power - Power races are regular lap races with powerups to help you kill enemies or defend from attacks.
Speed - Speed rings in the map will greatly increase your acceleration. There are no powerups so this means that you will have to rely solely on your maneuverability to win. Missing too many rings can lose you the race.
Survival - Survival races have a time interval in which the last place gets eliminated periodically.

Decorated
Collect 10 Badges.

The achievement requires you to collect 10 out of 15 badges. 14 of these can be gained in single player.

The badges are:

Rocket Ranger - Gained for killing enemies with the Missile powerup.
Stuntman - Gained for performing stunts during races.
Fighter Ace - Gained for killing enemies using the Cannon powerup.
Shocker - Gained for killing enemies using the Shockwave powerup.
Mechanic - Gained for using the Repair powerup.
Dedicated Miner - Gained for killing enemies with the Mines powerup.
Unpenetrable - Gained for blocking damage with the Shield powerup.
Frequent Flyer - Gained for logging a certain amount of flight time.
Waste Management - Gained for converting powerups into boost.
Hovercraft - Gained for hugging terrain while flying (very easy to do in Lagoon).
Duraluminable - Gained by surviving a certain amount of damage overall in 1 plane through Repair or Shield powerups.
Afterburner - Gained for boosting continuously (easy to do if you hug terrain).
Serial Killer - Gained for total amount of kills.
Booster Pack - Gained for total logged boost time.

Home Stretch
Unlock all events in the campaign.

This is unlocked after unlocking stage 7. In short, you unlock this in tandem with completing the campaign.

Shock and Awe
Kill two players at the same time with Shockwave.

You get this through natural progression but it's better if you specifically aim to get this out of the way early on (mainly because most enemy planes will be weak).

Power User
Use every powerup in the game at least once.

You will have more than enough time to unlock this achievement because powerups are abundant throughout the entire campaign.

The powerups are:

Missile, Cannon, Shield, Repair, Mines, Shockwave

Addicted
Complete at least one match for 7 consecutive days.

There's not a whole lot I can advise on for this achievement but what I did was I consistently played at least one match wether it was morning or night. It took me 8 days rather than the 7 in the description. During the final day (8th day), I didn't get my achievement even while following steam server time (PDT). This got me a little bit impatient so I changed the date and time to 1 day ahead and around evening time. I then replayed another match in single player and the achievement unlocked.

** Take note that all matches can be done in single player.
** I also highly recommend checking the other achievement websites since that's where other users have reported getting it after 8 days instead of 7.
Multiplayer Achievements
These achievements can only be completely unlocked by participating in multiplayer matches. I recommend doing these with a friend since there is virtually no means of communicating with random players.

The Most Decorated
Collect all Badges.

In order to get this achievement, you only need to get 15 badges. I listed the first 14 in the Single Player section of the guide. The 15th bronze level badge requires you to win at least 2 online matches.

Fortunately, you do not have to get gold level badges.

The Collector
Unlock All Planes.

All planes except for one can be unlocked in Single Player. The final plane is unlocked by playing and completing 20 online matches (doesn't have to be wins).

Dressing Room
Unlock All Skins.

Each plane will require at least some online wins to unlock all skins. The low-tier planes will require 1 win, the Mid tier will require around 5, while the top-tier planes will require 10 wins to fully unlock the skins. This is where most of the multiplayer achievement grinding will come from.

First Victory
Earn your first victory online!

Self-explanatory.

Test Pilot
Win a race with every plane.

In order to clarify the achievement, you need ONLINE wins with every plane. You cannot complete this until you unlock the final plane which requires 20 online matches played/completed.

The most annoying racing game that I've ever played with the only challenge the obstructing rear view.

About The Collector: I won about 20+ matches and didn't get the badge that requires you win 2 online matches. I played 2 online Speed Races but nothing happened. I then played 2 online Survivor matches and THENI got it! Maybe that's it. Most online matches are just Power Race so maybe the badge requires Survivor matches only. Anyone else got that too?

Got it totally randomly after I started unlocking skins for other planes. Oh well...

Yep, online matches only (and every match with same plane). There must be some bug or something... if i figure it out, i'll let you know.

This may be a silly question but did you play online matches? The only reason I'm asking is because you didn't specify it.

The Collector doesn't work anymore or it must be some other value. I played over 40 matches with same plane and last plane is still locked.

Played with 2 people in Survivor and got the medal.

I have several, and I've unlocked most of the skins (and all planes) already (Over a dozen victories by now), this is annoying.

Minimum Players = 2

Personally I did all of my online matches with just 1 friend.
