It is pretty simple - with the Update from 27th of February 2018, Hunter the new Merc was released and Phantom got a rework. So, new Achievements were added, and I found em. Here you learn about the hidden Achievement "Melee Master" and how to get it.

The Hidden Achievement
As you can see, one of the new hidden Achievements that was released along with the Hunter Update is called "Melee Master" and to get it you have to kill Hunter with a Katana.




Best way how to get it - in my opinion.
Other than the second hidden Achievement (that I explain in this guide), this one is fairly easy to get.

Short Disclaimer: I did it with a Phantom and as of this point I do not know if you can get the Achievement when you kill Hunter as Kira with her Katana. I do think so because in the description of the Achievement Phantom is not specifically mentioned, but I can't promise you anything. If you know more about this I'd be glad to edit it in and of course, mention you as a contributor to this guide.

I suggest that you take Phantom to get this Achievement - he has more Health then Kira, can cloak himself and even if you don't own any Rarity Loadout Cards for Phantom, on his Standard Card he has a Katana, which is not the case with Kira.

On how to use (Phantom's) Katana effectively, there are a lot of good guides on Steam & also good Videos on YouTube, I think you will be able to find them yourself.

This achivement also works, when you kill Hunter as Phantom with katana ,of course.

I got the obsidion Phantom and I can't wait to try him out, hopefully these bounties get me to 50k credits or whats it called to unlock him

the most ez no skill need and brainless achivement i ever do in my entire life. get it with first (lazy) try with super phantom. honestly with the merc that dev erase his footstep sound, no cloak sound, no texture while cloaking and faster cloak/decloak to attack than the old one. no way you can find any game give you a legal cheat tools to get ez win like this.

I think you can only get it with phantom because i killed a hunter with kira's katana and i din't get it (though i should point out it was a quick melee)

That is wrong, there is a trace on the Crossbow bolt. For me it has the color of the Targed Point/Crosshair Alpha. Maybe try changing that color or turning it on.

I don't like Hunter... he seemingly has the same problem as Guardian. He's rushed. When you fire, there's no trace on your crossbow bolt, which makes it fel as though you aren't even using a crossbow, and just as Guardian, his animations are weird, sloppy, and hastily put together.

Hunter is yet another crap character that no one wants to play as. So they add achievements forcing people to play him. smh

Yeah, got the Melee Master in my First Match, too :D Second one took a little longer :D

That was hidden xD got both on first match after update
