Obtain the animals you want to use on your chao. This trick can work on any animal, so even the legendary animals can be used for this.








Then go into your chao garden and give your chao an item, like a fruit, to keep it busy so that it stays still while you get your animal. This is optional but I find this to be the easiest, most efficient, and most consistent way of doing this.









Stand at about this distance from the chao. It doesn't have to be exact but you can easily get a feel for this distance. Once you do this, just press B to let go of the animal and the chao will catch the animal and get the stats from the animal without using it up.





The chao will then act like he's holding an animal and use it up, but instead he's holding air and the animal is still standing in front of it. That's when you know you did it correctly. Only then can you pick up the animal and give it to the chao the exact same way again and repeat ad infinitum.






The following video shows what it looks like and it also demonstrates that even though you can do this trick with chaos drives, it is not recommended using over the animals instead.

Now go and get your chao all roided out
