PROS:
+ FREE (demo)
+ nice art style
+ cool secrets
+ fun local co-op
+ varied weapons & spells

CONS:
- no mouse support
- no online co-op
- sometimes stiff jumping

Comment:
Not often does the Steam recommended section show me a game I would actually want but this one had such a distinctive look I just had to check it out. And I am glad I did because even though being a short demo it shows a lot of potential for the full release. Great art style is what sells the game to me. From the characters themselves to the weapons, UI and areas everything looks really nice.

Only occasional stiff movements and jumping look off, it's especially noticeable when trying to dodge. This is not really due to an input delay but more of an animation challenge. You get used to it after a bit but more frames for the jumping/dashing might feel smoother. Also, sadly there's no mouse support. As this is a PC game I hope for this to change in the future. Gamepads work fine though and fighting is quite fun.

The boss fight is challenging up close but you can pick from ranged weapons or spells if you find it too tough. Or you can get a co-op buddy. In fact (*local/couch) co-op is even more enjoyable due to the reviving mechanic that keeps you going forward ... if you revive your friend in time. This game is for free as a prologue/demo for the Kickstarter of the main game so if you are interested give it a try. I surely liked it.

*Note: The local-only co-op can be circumvented by using Steam Remote Play Together.

P.S.: If you want to see more of this game check out the Kickstarter HERE

P.S.2: Sadly the Kickstarter did not garner enough funds but the project is still running so if you are interested just wishlist it HERE

This isn't an excel spreadsheet or data entry game so it's hard to consider lack of KB&M a candidate for the "Cons" list.

The devs have also endorsed this tool in a Kickstarter update and so I edited the review to mention this. Thanks JNR!

You an use Parsec Gaming (Google it cause Steam won't let me link it) for play online.
