This game remembers me the Devil May Cry franchise, even if this one is less difficult than the devil may cry especially the ranking score which is missing. Unlike a Devil May Cry, you can explore an open world. The story is also as great as a Devil May Cry (DMC). As a DMC your currency are souls which are obtained by defeating enemies or opening some chests. There are 3 kinds of souls in fact : health (green), currency (blue) and wrath (yellow). Like a DMC you'll unlock several close and long range fighting weapons, purchase many moves and wrath abilities. Finally there is the famous dungeons and bosses areas.

What a great game to feel strong and invincible. I would say if feels like a relaxing game.

One very good glitch at the end of the game, is that you can spawn horsemen as you wish by leaving and entering the area. A very epic fight with your horse.

If you wish to have all achievements you must follow the tips listed below (thanks to a guide on steam) :
- Turn off the steam overlay in the game, exit steam (steam -> exit), launch steam and play the game.
- You can only play one session of Darksiders in each steam session, if the game crash it counts too. So the famous exit steam (steam -> exit), launch steam and play the game is needed.
- Always made saves before the part where you should unlock an achievement if you want to prevent the points above.
