Steam Deck tips
    [Save games]
  • Uninstalling a game WILL remove all saved games unless the game has Steam Cloud support...
  • The folder where your games are installed is: /home/deck/.steam/steam/steamapps/compatdata/<game_id>
    (You need to have hidden files/directories turned on AND you can find the game ID when you got to its' store page and check the link)
  • Moving a game to the SD card moves all the saves too. However, the game might not recognize/find them. In this case copy the save game folder from the SD card to the main disk.

  • Charging in the Steam Deck dock doesn't start for some games. You need to close the game first. The standard charger cable works fine all the time though.
  • Getting a Steam Deck case is recommended but be aware it won't fit in the official Steam Deck dock anymore! In this case you need one of the 3rd party dock extenders (you fit the Steam Deck dock into it).
