How to fix your interp - AKA how to get good.
Right. I'm lazy so this will be short.

Interp is something funky to do with how you connect with the server. You don't really need to know. All you need to is that a low interp is great for prodjectile classes. (Solly, Demo, even Pyro)

First of all, check your interp. Join a server and type

net_graph 1

Into your console.

If you Interp (labeled Lerp in orange) is above 15.2 ms then you'll need to fix it.

First of all find your autoexec under

C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Team Fortress 2\tf\cfg[/]

The file path may need to be edited depending on your computer.

Find autoexec.txt and add the following

cl_cmdrate 66
cl_interp 0
cl_interp_ratio 1
cl_lagcompensation 1
cl_pred_optimize 2
cl_smooth 0
cl_smoothtime 0.01
cl_updaterate 66
rate 60000

Launch TF2 and check the netgraph, your Interp should have been lowered.

Why am I commenting? So this is listed on the popular discussions part of the nlpg page :tbptongue:

It ping/lag dependent actually. Your example is for good connection, but many scouts prefer cl_interp 0.033 anyway. Some pockets also change cl_interp between weapons (0.152 for RL and 0.033 for shotty) but you can't do it anymore (cl_interp in-game change is blocked by latest patches)
