Fennecs in space

Group for people on to the Fennecweb Space Engineers servers.
Group is invite only for auditing purposes. Please ask Anthropy by adding him or leaving a comment on his profile, or ask any of the members to join. (please note steam doesn't send notifications for new applicants using the 'request to join' button!)
Members not adhering to the rules will be warned, kicked and/or banned where appropriate.

That said, Welcome! Fennecweb Space Engineers is a set of freely available servers hosted on a fast server and a fast internet connection, provided by Anthropy/Fennecweb. We strive for a 24/7 uptime and near-zero lag (60UPS), and encourage people to roleplay and immerse themselves and have fun on the servers :)
Feel free to post in forums in the steam group, or add any of the moderators or admins if you have any questions.

Rules:
1) We respect eachother's property and boundaries, and do not attack eachother.
2) With as only exception very clearly outlined PvP scenarios. No PvP outside of PvP scenarios.
3) Report illegal behavior to the admins and/or mods
4) Be nice and civil. We're all friends here :)
5) Common sense rules apply; Try to imagine if what you are (going to be) doing would piss people off. If it would, it's better not to do it on the servers.
6) Don't build contraptions that you know will lag the whole server. The server can handle a lot, but try to estimate what will impact everyone's gameplay experience and keep it reasonable.
7) Try to avoid making me put new rules up here. I know some things may not be obvious, but just try to strive for a good experience for everyone on the server. If something's not obvious, feel free to ask an admin or moderator.

How to find the servers:
Just search for "Fen" or "Fennec" or "Fenweb", there should only be a few obvious hits. There should be at least 1 as of currently.

Vanilla is up, but please read

The vanilla server is finally back up.. but the map seems heavily destroyed because of buggy meteor storms over a long period of time. A lot of contraptions are fine... others aren't, especially on earth, and I can't restore a backup because people have build things since then.
The modded serves have similar issues, on top of that some mods seem to have disappeared.

This leads me to a question; is it really a good idea to bring back the old modded servers? I could also just put the maps up here for download for those who want to explore them, and put up a fresh server with different mods.

Same question for the vanilla server, even though it is up right now; The vanilla server's world is about 40MB in size, while it downloads fast, I do think a fresh start would yield a more stable and faster server. Shall I take the current one down and put up a new one, and put up the map for download here?

A new server is up and has been up for a while now, if you look for 'FW' or 'FennecWeb' you should find it in the public server list!

..And then a chunk of life happened.. sorry for the delays and things, I'm intending to get the servers back up; vanilla already is back up but I need some feedback about what you guys think regarding that and another few servers. Check the (upcoming) announcement

The SSD arrived, I will install it in the machine tonight. Servers should be back up around 23:00 GMT+1 or somewhere before that.

Servers are temporarily down due to the SSD they were hosted on being entirely worn out. Data is safe, I just don't trust the SSD anymore since it's reporting it's worn out :P Will try bring it back up ASAP.
