I like the idea of a 1v1 skirmish tournament, for the first one I think it would be realistic to try and get two brakets of 4 people
This is my bad drawing for the brakets lol

Also I was thinking that we should only use the core set of maps, as the newer ones pulled from the single player campaign are unbalanced
For spectators each should have two were the spectators do nothing but watch and dont even sell there capital (this allows for capturing it and making it, as best we can at least like the spectator isnt even there)
And finially it might be a good idea to have a coin toss through an intermediary program were the winer can chose the map he or she wants to play on
It's okay, happens ;D
It's nice to see that you like my idea ^^
However, i wonder what will happen to spectators once they are "defeated". Will they stay in game or disconnect automatically? I don't know that xD
Another problem might be time zones. Who knows where all the players live... it will get hard to match up myself (as example) with someone who lives in the USA. We can solve this, but this will effort much communication as soon as we got all members up.
I'll open up another thread where we can collect the ones who are interested in that tournament, and i'll create the bracket after we got enough members up (if we get enough).
Again sry for my english ^^'
SkyDrake
Time zones is definatlly an issue as most members in this group are from around the world, but its something we will have to work player by player
As for a "defeated" spectator they will stay in the game able to watch, Ive played in a few games were we had spectators, it was pretty interesting the two spectators fought eachother with there dragons untill the action started lol
Currently we have 3 players and possibly 5 if you include SkyDrake and my self, now if you ask me we can get between 5 or at the very least 3 more players, yes I believe thats realistically possible
Now I dont appreciate you talking about our group in such a way, we all have lifes not to mention that steam doesnt exaclly make it easy to remember to check there game forums in the steam launcher. Added the facts that this game was marketed towards RPG players instead of RTS players coupled with the fact that its buggy in campaign modes makes this a difficult game to get into.
So I think its reasable that we can wait a few more days to collect some players, if not then Ill take it up under advicement then.
While we wait however if you want Id be more then willing to play some skirmishes with you, to help you practice, or just have some fun while were waiting.
Send me a message Im always willing to play
Well, I'm take under my wing your.. "Invite". Now I'll send you an adding and after we can to play, dear realist FrostyCyclops. Sendng in the progress.
Yes, like and me too. Paradoxically? Right, I can find that so. That's why me exist how a realist. Sorry, it's not politely say what's was in the my prefix, but it's truth, case no activity. Reason? To my opinion, that's unreachable for understanding. Not a pessimism, by the be.
But well, think straight
I'm not too against your thinks. I don't make haste and I've got a resonable patient for this. And, by the way, I trust you, your message persuasively.
