use one or more of the following anti-consumer measures:
  • publishing games badly designed/unfinished on purpose to save money for an in-company beta test and to get sales money faster
  • selling microtransactions (with or without pay-to-win) and cheat codes in full price games
  • selling pay-to-win microtransactions in free-to-play games
  • publishing games with paid lootboxes (even in full price games; virtually identical to gambling for kids; already forbidden in some countries)
  • publishing games with additional DRM (in addition to platform DRM like Steam) like Denuvo, VM Protect, causing heavy performance hits (longer loading times, frequent stutters, FPS drops by up to 90%)
  • publishing games with anti-cheat software that has unnecessary high access privileges to your computer and/or is even running when the game is not running and/or causes problems with other games (malware)
  • publishing games filled with political propaganda and/or politically fuelled bad writing/design (story, characters etc)
  • supporting political extremist organisations and/or individuals and/or causes with money and/or by giving them a media platform
  • silencing critics by taking down and/or trying to take down their social media accounts with no legal basis
  • destroying the lives and/or livelihoods of players because of political reasons or general corruption through banning, blacklisting, defamation and slander
  • insulting customers for the opinions they have and/or the game choices they make
  • engaging in political censorship of a game without laws demanding it
  • denying you service and/or deleting your account (even with a game library attached) for political reasons
  • denying you service and/or deleting your account (even with a game library attached) for speech and behavior outside of the companies games and services
  • political censorship in game customization, chat and forums
  • game-breaking censorship in game customization, chat and forums
  • removing games from their platform for political reasons
  • offering games exclusively on a platform with bad launcher software (security risks, lack of even basic features)
  • advertising a game for a platform and after collecting sales money releasing it for a different platform instead (sometimes without refunds possible)
  • making unannounced huge price increases even for old games, sometimes by over 200%
  • patenting game concepts in the US (which cannot be patented according to several US court rulings, making the patenting technically illegal)
  • firing employees who make reasonable statements because small groups of propagandists demand it
  • firing employees who make no statements at all except declaring their political allegiance as not Marxist (leftist) because small groups of propagandists demand it
Do not buy any product from these companies and their franchises!

Support lesser known studios and indie creators who might not be creating the most visually impressive games but clearly have passion for the product they put on shelves rather than creating games for the sake of leeching consumers or political indoctrination. These companies can eventually become new good publishers.
