Don't worry though, we only have one technically. Don't be an ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥! Just be chill.

So, here's what that means for the group:

Just be cool! - EVERYONE IS WELCOME HERE!

No racism or any hatred/bigotry or generalizing aimed at/against any individual(s) or group(s) of people.

No sexism, heterosexism, homophobia, transphobia, cissexism, etc.

No ableism, classism, ageism, antisemitism, sizeism, etc.

No discrimination against anyone with a physical illness/disability, mental illness, or developmental disorder.

No jokes/comments/discussions about rape in any context.

No jokes/comments/discussions about murder, suicide, or self-harm.

No derogatory "gay", "autistic", or "retarded" jokes/comments.

No drama or attention seeking behavior of any kind. Leave your arguing/drama/issues outside of this group. Report/block people as necessary. Report harassment/abuse to Steam for review if necessary. Be responsible for your own safety and well-being online. Please report any other issues and concerns to a group admin so we can take a look at it.

No bullying/harassment or targeting of any individual or group of people, members of the group or not. In general, don't be mean/cruel/judgmental to anyone, for any reason.

No discussion of religion, politics, war, or clearly controversial topics/current events that would incite arguing/off-topic discussions.

No links to pornography (nudity as represented in a piece of art is fine), anything illegal, hateful, violent, gory, or harmful/damaging.

No discussion of drug use or sourcing. How you enjoy your games in your own environment is your business. If necessary, references to an altered state/mood is fine, just no specifics please. This is especially true if you are a minor or live in a place where the substance in question is illegal.

If a fellow group member, mod, or admin tells you you're doing/saying something to make them uncomfortable, please stop doing/saying whatever that is immediately, even if you don't agree with or understand why. Again, keep drama out of this group and block/report people if necessary.

Listen to and respect all of the admins requests and decisions. You are always welcome to ask questions by private message to admins about their decisions, requests, and actions and how they might affect you.

Self-promotion is only allowed for indie game developers. Indie game developers are encouraged to promote their work anywhere in the group such as the comments and discussion threads. No promoting of other Steam Groups or Discord servers, unless it's related to a specific game an indie game dev is working on. No exceptions! Promoting your Steam profile, asking for rep for rep, comments, promoting your Discord, or your Steam group is against the rules and you will be banned.

In general, don't be a disruptive, obnoxious, toxic, troll, ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥. We don't want that ♥♥♥♥ in here. If you're chill and just being yourself, you're good. You've got nothing to worry about.

If you honestly feel that any of the above rules are unreasonable, perhaps this group isn't the best choice for you.


Other rules, info, and suggestions:

Indie game developers are ALWAYS welcome (and encouraged) to promote their games if they feel they fit the Trippy Game theme anywhere within the Steam group, chat, comments, etc. Have at it! Promote, promote, promote! That's what this group is ultimately for. Helping indie developers share and discover their works is what we're all about.

Please avoid self-promotion of your social media, Steam profiles, Discord servers, or Twitch/YouTube channels in the Steam group itself unless you do so in the appropriate discussion thread. If you're unsure, discuss it with an admin beforehand.

SEIZURE/EPILEPSY WARNING for games that use heavy flashing or strobe effects.

Better safe than sorry, but in general we can't be held responsible for triggering a seizure in our members. It would be virtually impossible to accurately flag every game with a seizure warning. Be careful and play at your own risk!

Please respect other people's choices in music, art, games, self-expression, etc. Everyone likes and identifies with different things and that's okay! That's what makes people in this group cool. ;)
