Tournament of Champions General Information
Intro
The Tournament of Champions is a Rifle Death Match tournament for up to 40 player set to take place on June 25th, the weekend after the Verdun Community Tournament. While the VCT will determine the top teams in Verdun, this tournament is designed to find Verdun's top sharpshooter. Prizes will be awarded to the top 3 players in the finals.

Bracket
Participants will be assigned to Heat 1 or Heat 2. A Third heat will be added if needed.

Round One: Each heat will play a single full round of Rifle Death Match with up to 8-16 players. The top 4 players from each heat will move on to the next round

Round Two: The players who made it to Round Two will play a a full round of 8 player RDM. The top 4 will move on to Round Three, the finals.

Round Three This is where we truly find out who the best shot is. Four top tier players fighting it out with no free kills to see who's the best. The finals will not be a full match rather an admin will bleed the server's time and the match will be 5 - 10 minutes long. Players will be asked to not to move until all 4 players are in at which point the admin will give the start command. Aisne has been selected as the final map as it's very sniper friendly even if it is a bit large, and this is a battle of sharpshooters. The top 3 players will receive a prize.

Maps:
subject to change
  • Round 1: Argonne
  • Round 2: Vauquois
  • Round 3: Aisne

Registration
We've changed this event to a register at the door policy. Simply contact Nord before the events start time (5pm EDT, 2pm PST) to register and get the Discord link.

All announcements will be made through this steam group. Players will be required to join the Tournament's Discord server on game day so that information can be quickly conveyed to all relevant players during and between rounds. A microphone however is not a requirement.

To join the Discord server simply use the Instant invite link Nord will provide. You can use any version of Discord and those who don't have it installed will find it easiest to use the web version of Discord. Please note if you use the web version your microphone will only work when Discord is the active tab and your web browser is the active window. This means if you go in game you'll be able to hear everything happening in Discord but you won't able to to talk.

Registration is currently open to all players with a ping under 160 on the US server.

The tournament will take place on Saturday, June 25th. The event will begin at 5pm EST, 2pm PST and will take no more than 3 hours to complete.
