Hey everyone it's Scape...


This post will be regarding the slow decline of the group and what we as a strong community can do to bring new life to Team Ghostboosters! Here at TGB we pride ourselves as being a very group oriented place for rocket league players of all skills and ages to meet new players and to have discussions about the game in various ways. It seems like with the passing of weeks the amount of group support is slowing falling even if the number of people in the group is increasing.


Things are changing for the better. sometimes it starts with a single person with some motivation and a dream of success. I'm going to be the tinder, starting a fire that will hopefully catch on and burn stronger than ever.

IMPORTANT MEETINGS

In the coming weeks TGB will be having some very MAJOR meetings about what we will be doing in the future to help accomplish the refresh. We will be personally messaging every current Ghostboosters member about what they think about the group and if they wish to want to become a more active member of the TGB community. If these people say they wish to pay little attention to the group or to try and stay active then unfortunately they might have to leave the group. (It's harsh but if they are just a number for the group then i'd rather them be active or willing to come and support us) For having around 150 people currently in the steam group and having only 1-5 people in the mumble group at a time or the same amount of people in our twitch chat It's very concerning. I'm not asking you to always be a part of our events or always watching our streams but it would be very supportive if you could whenever you have the time. I'm unfortunately assuming we lose a decent portion of our more AFK members but i'd rather have active members than people in the group who are just a number and pay literally no attention to what we do.


Meeting information

With these meetings I want EVERYONE POSSIBLE to attend these meetings no matter if you have been active in the group before or if you have been in the mumble or a part of our group since the beginning. The meetings will be hosted on DISCORD as it can hold an unlimited amount of people, it's totally free and browser based, and it also has a full textchat interface similar to Skype. More information about these meetings will be posted in the coming days as our admins gather more information and we get more precise planning.




All that other stuff above is really important... So If you skipped to this section read the other wall of text because i'd rather you know that then some of what we are doing here.

It seems like with a revival of the group we will need a lot more fun and engaging activities that keep the members of our group excited for what will be coming next and always give them something to do. STARTING SOON... We will be creating many new forums for our members to have general discussion about basically anything, insightful discussions about RL strats, metas, cars, maps and other RL things, forum based games, a full group suggestions page, and much MUCH more... (get hyped). It seems like the only true event we have is our 2v2 friday event, which is great... BUT it leaves our members with really nothing else for them to do on a daily basis or things that can have them really play with other members of the community. we will try to host an event almost every day of the week so that there is always something to look forward to for TGB.

I want our members to know that instead of just playing rocket league that there is an awesome group full of active members on the side for them to chat with, post on forums and discuss about that nights event or about other RL things.



Me and all of my current admins will be setting the groundwork for something truly special in the coming weeks but none of this will take off with out support. If all of these things i've mentioned sound like something you want to be a part of... then what are you waiting for, come and enjoy yourself. We would love to have our nightly events streamed and for our youtube channel to feature some of the communities best plays from past events or even some rocket league content of your own! We are trying our hardest for all of this to be a reality but none of this can be possible without support! Instead of our stream having 5 people watching our event why can't we have 30+ during our most popular events. If we also have more people supporting us on Twitch, Youtube and Twitter more people like you will want to come and join in on our events and discussions as well making our group even more exciting.
I'm not saying all of the change will happen overnight... I'm just saying it's up to everyone (its a "group" effort after all)


I'm really sorry for the massive wall of text but it's something that needs to be addressed and it's big changes for the entire group to enjoy.
