Like many KF fans, I was excited to hear KF2 was going to be released for early access. To hear Alan Wilson say, "It's not rocket science," I thought TW cared about what the fanbase thinks. Afterall, he'd been TW's best PR person. And I believed TW would live up to that standard. I was wrong.
All was good at first. Being that I'm a fan of KF, I had no qualm purchasing a copy of PCGamer to get a key for the Mr. Foster Dosh Jacket to support the development of KF2. I even contemplated purchasing multiple copies of the magazine and game for people I know personally who play KF.
Then TW released the KF2 beta keys back in April 2015 in a way that mostly scalpers ended up with the beta keys. It was disgusting to see how many people were trying to sell the beta keys. Why didn't TW release the beta keys to people who were actually interested in playing the beta rather than people who were only interested in making some quick dosh? People like KF players, or people who bought the Mr. Foster Dosh Jacket, would have been a better choice to release the beta keys to. I decided to let the issue go and wait for the early access release. However, because of my disappointment in the method of beta key distribution, I decided not to buy multiple copies of the game. Now I feel it was a good decision not to buy multiple copies of the game.
After KF2 was released for early access, a large number of players saw problems with KF2 gameplay. Rather than TW addressing what many felt were major flaws, TW chose to ignore those issues.
TW asked people to provide feedback in early access. We assumed TW wanted real feedback, both good and bad. We did both. But it appears the only feedback TW wanted was praise.
One major issue with the gameplay was zed teleportation. I felt teleportation was the biggest detractor. Though I wasn't for the absolute removal of teleportation, because it could be useful in certain situations. But teleporation shouldn't be so blatently obvious cause it "break(s) the illusion." Now, however, I feel the game will be better off without teleporation.
There were some main discussions of teleporation which I tried to tie together. We were told to take the discussion to TW's discussion forum. Then I heard some people were being banned from TW's forum and the discussions were being censored. "Why bother going to TW's forum when we're being censored there?", I thought. So, I decided to stay in the Steam forums.
I began searching for similar, less noticed discussions concerning teleportation. Searching through other discussions, I noticed that Yoshiro, the representative for TW in the Steam forums, was actually responding to discussions about lesser issues. Apparently he had time to reply to those discussions, but not discussions that more players were concerned about. I also noticed that discussions about teleportation that didn't draw as much attention being burried by the normal mechanics of the forum.
That all led me to conclude that zed teleportation was more of an issue than just the number of comments made in the in the main discussions. Worst of all, people who had a problem with teleportation were being ignored. Yoshiro could have at least responded to tell us TW's thought on the subject.
I thought maybe, if I bumped some of the lesser discussions of teleportation, maybe TW would take notice. Instead I get a troll who doesn't agree with having teleportation changed. He also said a moderator is his friend and he's going to have me banned. Consequently, I was banned permanently.
I would have been okay with a temporary ban since I did violate some discussion rules. Plenty of people have been banned for worse temporarily. So, I asked Steam for help on how to get unbanned, however, there was never any response. Currently, I'm still banned.
Other issues have risen with KF2, mainly topics about microtransactions and PvP mode which many people have arguments against. Again, we have silence from TW in addition to people being banned and opinions being censored in the Steam forum. Could this be censor by proxy?
Is this how TW wants Steam moderators to treat TW's customer base? If not, TW needs to step in and correct the problem.

Also you ban me for saying one S word but i see people on here dropping F bombs multiple times and have them directed at people. My post wasn't even directed at anyone. I am being discriminated against and i don't appreciate it. Give me a justifiable reason i am perma banned for one curse word yet others don't share the same fate.

I think banning me for one response is quite harsh seeing as i have put a lot into this game and helped the community for years now. I have seen far worse and cursed on many forums before even this one and never got banned. Please unban me.

Just think...if they hadn't wasted their time with zedconomy, PvP, and game conductor, we probably wouldn't even be having this conversation.

It was a communication type that was unique and labeled Modderator message. It stated
" There has been numerous complaints of you derailing and going off topic. This is a warning" and had a link to the Steam forum conduct rules.
Once I read it, access to the message disappeared and I have not been able to find a way to get back to it. If anyone knows how to access such messages please let me know. Ill keep searching.

So a user posted a discussion under the name "The real reason why MT's are not good", which he/she provided a screenshot of two RNG MT cosmetics clipping. Yoshrio, being the PR Meatsheild that he is, jumped aboard with the obvious intent on silencing criticism (despite what he'll tell you). It's been a long, amusing road for Tripwire Interactive over the past year and a half.
I've supported them for years, but this mess has just been too enjoyable to laugh at.
I'll give everyone a quick recap:
- Released an Early Access game marketed as a true successor to KF1
- Released KF2 in Early Access to make it more difficult for players to refund.
- Claims that they wanted feedback several times but ignores anything critical.
- Claims that it would be released at the end of 2015. Lies.
- Claims that the Sharpshooter pack would be released alongside the unwanted PvP mode.
- Horribly slow updates
- Horrible balancing
- Horrible flex system
- Horrible zed teleportation
- Censorship on the TWI forums
- A PvP mode that was woefully rushed into the game to keep players interested, which failed
- Claims from former employees about how incompitent that thr company is
- John Gibson claiming that the company was getting better at communication
- They took a fully paid company cruise instead of finishing the remaining perks
- They are working on another game entirely, while this game is still unfinished
- An RNG MT system, another form of Paid mods for Valve. 25% of the profit to modders.
- An RNG MT system that was NOT mentioned either on the store page or in the Return of the Patriarch update for the sake of maximizing profit.
There is much more, but it will be comming in the next update 9 months from now.

"Passed this along to be fixed, thanks"
"Removed offtopic/derailing posts. Treat this as a warning"
A threat? Tsk tsk tsk. Jesus fricken christ. I'm so done with Tripwire.

You will see people start baiting, trolling, and flaming. They even bring me up by name even though I am not in the thread.
I responded in the thread in a very polite post. At the end, I say say that trolling was the issue with the forum , not people like me who bring up problems or ask questions.
I then recieved a Moderator warning for "back seat moderation". I took a screen shot and will post a link. I am flabergasted.
Please, take a look at the thread, tell me what you see. Maybe I am too close to the issue. The trolls have picked up the pace and it feels like the moderator / s are allowing it to see if they can trap me into a reaction and ban me to shut me down.

Apparently, making a prediction is a civil manner about the direction the game is taking is "bait" these days. I used to think that I would be angry about being banned from a KF2 forum. But I am not, I am not even surprised or disappointed. Tripwire has simply done what is expected of them these days, they silenced criticism.
Edit/Update 5/18/2016:
I was banned for a month exactly a month ago. When I went to KF2 forums today I found out that I can not post despite the ban being expired. This is because they kicked me from the Steam KF2 group. This is sneaky and underhanded which is nothing unusual from Tripwire.
