Here are some frequently asked questions about osu!
  • What is osu!?
    osu! is a rhythm based game in which you move your cursor and hit different rhythmic hit elements (hit circles, sliders and spinners) that pop up on different parts of the screen in sync with the song. For more in-depth information, you can check here[en.wikipedia.org].

  • How do I get started with the game?
    A sign up and download is required which you can do so for free, here[osu.ppy.sh].

  • How do I get more songs?
    You can aquire additional songs by searching in the beatmaps section of the official website, there you can find almost anything to your taste.

  • My favourite song/artist/band isn't on here, why is that?
    Well, it's because the game uses player designed beatmaps, which are the files containing the actual gameplay data. These are created using an in-game editor, allowing the user to pick any song they like and produce beats for it. Beatmaps for specific songs can then be shared through an in-game uploader directly linked to the main site.
