Raid Rules Explained.
You may raid any structure owned by anyone outside your tribe provided at least one member of the tribe you are raiding is online.

This is the cornerstone of the following rules and applies to all of the sub rule sets.

Feel free to only read the sections that apply (such as below), but make yourselves familliar with the special raid rule sets before you try them.

Standard Raid Rule Set

  • If all members of the defending tribe members log off once the raid has started, the raid may still continue.
  • Once a raid has started, there is no time limit. For example if the attackers need to transport loot, or if the attackers stop mid raid to make more explosives etc.
  • The raid ends once the main structure has been secured. Same example as above, but if they return and the main building has been repaired they must make sure the tribe are still online to continue.
  • Base levelling is not allowed. You may destroy a path to loot, but unnecessarily demolishing too much or all of the base/walls/gates will result in a server ban.

Conquest Raid Rule Set

A conquest raid is a way to allow tribes to take desirable area's from other tribes where the standard raid would prohibit. This is a special type of raid that is closely observed and managed by the admin. This raid type is high risk for both parties unless the defending tribe choose to forefit the location.

  • An application must be made and accepted by an admin before any raid can take place.
  • Once the application has been accepted the attackers/defenders have 72 hours to prepare, then the raid must begin within 24 hours or the application will be void and normal rules will apply.
  • The base defences and tribe spawn points must be compleatly neutralised within the standard raid rule set, then confirmed by an admin before the base levelling may take place.
  • Once the base has been confirmed by an admin as neutralised the attackers must manually level all structures/sub structures to claim the area, if they fail within 48 hours they must relinquish the loaction to the defenders (Then standard raid rules apply).
  • If the base has been confirmed by an admin as levelled it will be classed as contested, this gives the defenders 48 hours to take back the site by the same means as the attackers. (defences must be neutralised, confirmed, etc). The victor after the 48 hours will either rebuild on the spot (defender) or have 7 days to move their base to this location (attacker), if the attcker fails to do so the raid will be classed as base levelling and will be punishable as such.
  • After an agree'd upon time the attackers old base must be demolished, if this time elapses the attacker forefits the right to that location and the base will be destroyed by admins.
  • The 48 hour contested period starts as soon as confirmation is given that the base has been neutralised, as does the 7 day moving timer.

Declaring War!

Declaring war is a contract between two tribes as a way to set your own raiding tearms. This is only accepted by an admin once both parties agree to tearms. All declarations of war and their outcomes will be stored on the steam group for refenence.

Example

Declaration of war between Tribby's Happy Fun Time & S.H.I.E.L.D.

Timeframe: 4 days July 28th-31st 2016 or until surrender of one party confirmed by note.
Base levelling: Allowed.
Hostages, drugging with narcotics: Allowed.
Use Grapple turrets: Not Allowed.
Killing Passive Dinos: Not Allowed..

Final notes

A banned tribe/survivor can request to be reinstated within 7 days of banning if they have evidence to prove innocence. For example, if a tribe was banned for base levelling under the standard raid rule set and then submitted a video of the raid showing the damage as they did it. Then the defender had demolished foundations as they were leaving or later on, this may be enough to get the parties involved reinstated and the defender penalised (in this example).

No rules are set in stone, they are always up for discuission in another thread.

Raiding is a part of ARK, we have implimented these rules to make it more fair/fun/accessible for everyone just like the multipliers on gathering etc.
