RULES AND GUIDELINES
  • Official Language of The Fair Trade Society: English

  • All trades must abide by Steam rules/terms of service, The Fair Trade Society rules and regulations along with any further terms disclosed prior to trade negotiations.

  • Any complaints about members, concerning violation of fair trade guidelines, or general steam rules, will result in investigation, and swift action.

  • Please post in the appropriate forums. The Staff are not here to clean up after people who are too lazy to read the rules or look for the appropriate forum.

  • Please do NOT spam your offers. This includes in the chat as well as bumping posts on the forum. You may bump your threads, just DO NOT do it incessantly. Again, the Staff are not daycare attendants, nor babysitters, and will only tolerate so much. Use your best judgement and be courteous!

  • Harassment of any member, in any manner, will result in immediate removal from The Fair Trade Society. This will be treated with ZERO tolerance. There will be NO warnings. These acts include, but are not limited to : violent or aggressive behaviour, racist, sexist, or any other threatening or malicious comments, bullying, or intimidation in any form.

  • If you cannot fill your trade request in the chat, post it in the Offers/Requests forum. When your trade has been completed, please change the title of your post to "CLOSED". This way the staff can do their best to keep the forum tidy. Trades with 30+ days of inactivity will be wiped.

  • As trading game keys is not suggested, we do not suggest that you trade for them, either, but we will not prohibit doing so. That being said, anyone reported to a staff member for trading used keys and/or not trading them at all, will be immediately removed from The Fair Trade Society. This will be treated with ZERO tolerance. There will be NO investigation.

  • You will not solicit/post login information or attempt to access account information belonging to someone else including but, not limited to: Steam account user credentials, Email address information, Personal contact information etc.

  • You will follow the Steam and The Fair Trade Society guidelines if you publicize or offer any contest, giveaway, or promotion and must submit a request to The Fair Trade Society staff before doing so. No exceptions!

  • You will not use The Fair Trade Society to do anything unlawful, misleading, malicious, or discriminatory including scamming The Fair Trade Society members.

  • Do not advertise third party sites or links without expressed permission from The Fair Trade Society staff.

  • You will not post unauthorized commercial communications (such as spam) in The Fair Trade Society.

  • All exploited key trade discussion thread posts and comments are prohibited and users found doing so will be penalized to the fullest extent.

  • The Fair Trade Society members will not upload viruses or other malicious code through data links.

  • No trading of Steam accounts or otherwise any users found guilty accepting or recieving will be met with the highest of penalization from The Fair Trade Society staff, Steam/Valve and all third party associated Steam sites.

  • Members of FTSo Staff will do everything in their power to provide a safe and fair trading environment, but cannot possibly assume any personal liability for items lost due to disregard for the rules.
