War3Source (W3S) brings the Warcraft 3 leveling style and races into the game. It is originally based on the amxmodx (AMX) version War3FT.

Each standard race has total of 16 levels, made up of 3 skills and one ultimate where each skill/ultimate can be leveled 4 times for a total of 16 levels. We pay attention to the quality of the races, not the quantity.

Level up your race by earning xp. Earn xp by killing, planting/defusing the bomb and rescuing hostages. You get 5xp per level difference of your victim. Say you're a Lvl 1 Human and you kill a Lvl 16 Chronos, you will earn a bonus of 75xp.
All players get 30 free levels in their levelbank and you can earn more by playing frequently and by being a friendly and helpful member of the community!

All races are to be "balanced" with their own unique style of game play. The last race should not be the strongest and the first race should not be the weakest.
There are also items in W3S as there are in all Warcraft mods.

W3S was originally founded by Anthony Iacono (AKA "pimpinjuice") and is also the founder of superhero mod (SH).
Yi (Derek) Luo (AKA "Ownage | Ownz", "DarkEnergy") is the second developer of War3Source and took over primary develpement after march 2010.

Don't forget to join the group and tag up to gain a 15% XP bonus!

Ultimate and ability skills need to be activated via a console command.
You must bind these commands to keys, so that the talents can be used faster.

For example:
bind Z +ability
bind X +ultimate

The result will be that upon pressing the Z button, the ability will be activated,
and upon pressing X the ultimate will be used.

Note: Some (not many) races have 2 ability skills. In order to use both you will need to bind a key to +ability1 and +ability2

This is a list with some useful chat commands
You can bind these commands by using say or say_team command.
For example: bind C "say shopmenu"

war3menu - Open the menu
war3help - War3Source command help
raceinfo - See the info and skill info of each race
iteminfo - Information on each item in the shopmenu
playerinfo - Opens a player information menu
shopmenu or sh1 - Use gold to buy items
shopmenu2 or sh2 - Use diamonds to buy weaker items
changerace or cr - Change your race
war3stats - Check player stats for yourself and other players online
war3top10 - See the top 10 players
levelbank - See and spend levels! Everyone gets 30 but you can earn more!
resetskills - Resets all of your skills for the current race
spendskills - Spend unused skillpoints
xp - Check your experience points

To buy any of these items without saying shopmenu in chat, you can say the short name for the item in chat. The short name for each item is in the brackets.
For example, if you say "gloves" in chat, then you will automatically buy the gloves if you have enough cash. This is handy for buying multiples of items like tomes. If you have 50 gold and want to buy 5 tomes (10 gold each) say "tome 5" in chat.

Ankh of Reincarnation(ankh) - If you die you will retrieve your weapons the following spawn.
Boots of Speed(boots) - Allows you to move faster +30%.
Claws of Attack(claws) - An additional 9 hp will be removed from the enemy on every successful attack.
Cloak of Shadows(cloak) - Makes you partially invisible(-40 primary weapon, -60 knife).
Mask of Death(mask) - You will receive 20% health on every hit on the enemy.
Necklace of Immunity(lace) - You will be immune to enemy ultimates.
Orb of Frost(orb) - Slows your enemy down(-40%) when you hit him.
Ring of Regeneration(ring) - Regenerates 2 health slowly.
Tome of Experience(tome) - Automatically gain experience +50; this item is used on purchase. say tomes5 to buy many tomes at once, up to 10
Periapt of Health(health) - Increase max health +50.
Sock of the Feather(sock) - You will be able to jump higher(+40%).
Scroll of Respawning(scroll) - You will respawn after death.
Flaming Gloves of Warmth(glove) - You will be given an hegrenade every 10 seconds.
Antiwards(antiward) - Protects you from wards.
Helm of the Black Legion(helm) - Protects you from headshots. The helmet breaks down after two hits.
Mole(mole) - Tunnel to the enemies spawn at the beginning of the round.
Holy Shield(shield) - You will be immune to enemy abilities.

These items are cheaper, but much weaker than the gold shop's items.
They're designed for all races and don't effect the balance of the game.

Post Haste - 3% faster movement speed
Trinket of Regeneration - Regenerate 0.5HP/s
Lifetube - Regenerate 1HP/s
Snake Bracelet - 5% evasion
Fortified Bracer - +10 HP

We currently have 22 races available for anyone to use, please say "raceinfo" in chat and flick through each race to see what their skills do. But to be honest, the more fun way is to try them all out and see what you like!
