Server Etiquette
The standard Killing Floor etiquette applies for all our servers. Being a good team-player is essential to maximise the fun and rewards for everybody on the team. Trolling, exploits, glitching and hacking are disallowed.

Heads-up Display
The heads-up display(HUD) on our servers have been updated to display additional information.

Perks, Leveling & Rewards
The perks on all Brutus.SG servers are synchronized across the servers. The maximum effective level cap varies based on the maximum effective level which is based off the difficulty of the current match. The max effective level is the maximum level of bonuses your perks will be able to use. This is to ensure that games do not get ruined by overleveled players joining a lower difficulty.

Server Difficulties
There are three difficulty ranges:
  • Normal - Max effective level 6
  • Hard - Max effective level 12
  • Suicidal & HoE - Max effective level 30
It is recommended for new players to join the Normal/Hard server to get a feel of the game. However, if you are a veteran player, you can hop onto the other Hard/Sui/HoE servers for a greater challenge.

While you may still continue leveling up your perk on an easier server, harder servers have a higher maximum effective level and offer much better rewards for winning.

Rewards Scale
Listed below is the rewards scale for participating in matches of a greater difficulty:
There is a 1.5x Francs bonus for winning on ANY difficulty. The team's total Francs gain is multiplied by 1.5 and distributed in addition to the Francs the team has accumulated throughout the game. (Explanation on Francs further down below)
  • Normal - 1.0x amount of Francs per zed killed. 37.5% Extra perk stats experience bonus and 1.5x Total Francs for winning.

  • Hard - 1.1x amount of Francs per zed killed. 67.5% Extra perk stats experience bonus and 1.5x Total Francs for winning.

  • Suicidal - 1.3x amount of Francs per zed killed. 82.5% Extra perk stats experience bonus and 1.5x Total Francs for winning.

  • HoE - 1.5x amount of Francs per zed killed. 100% Extra perk stats experience bonus and 1.5x Total Francs for winning.
For example if your team is playing on Suicidal and you have obtained 1000 Stalker kills, if your team wins, you will get 1000 + 675 Stalker kills (67.5% increment) as a bonus for winning.
In summary: The higher the difficulty, the better your rewards.

Item Store System
Using the store
Once you have joined either one of the servers, the item store[i.imgur.com] can be accessed by going into the Menu (Press Esc) after a match has started.

Currencies
There are currently two ingame currencies that can be used to purchase items in the item store
  • Francs - Obtained by Killing Monsters
  • Yen - Received as thanks for supporting Brutus with a donation or as an event reward.
The Francs you gain are added to the team pool which is divided amongst the entire team whenever a wave is completed. A bonus of 1.2x - 1.5x (Depending on difficulty) the amount of Francs collected throughout the entire match is awarded if the team manages to survive the final boss.

The Suicidal server has a slightly higher rate of Francs gain compared to the Hard server and the Normal server has a slightly lesser rate of Francs gain.

Items
Everything sold in the item store is for purely cosmetic reasons. They do not alter gameplay in any way and are meant to be rewards for successfully completing matches.
The item categories are as follows:
  • Headgear - Basically hats and similar stuff
  • Facewear - Masks and eyewear
  • Waist Items - Items like bottles and gadgets around the waist
  • Back Items - Backpacks and other back items
  • Flair - A picture that appears above your character
  • Titles - A string of text that appears above your character
Previewing Items
Before you purchase an item, you can preview it on the left side of the store; just click on the item you would like to preview and it will appear on your current character model. To move the preview up/down, close the shop and look either up/down and then reopen the shop.

Custom Monsters, Maps & Weapons
Monsters
The usual zeds have had an AI upgrade and there are various custom monsters we have added to the server that help to strengthen the identity of teamplay. Below is a brief list of the monsters we have installed.
  • Shiver - Teleports to it's targetted player.
  • Brute - Blocks small firearms with it's metallic arms. Able to knock-back players.
  • Tesla Husk - Fires jolts of electricity that bounce from player to player.
  • Ghost - Mostly invisible 100% of the time. Only visible to commandos.
  • Dread - Suicide bomber with a sizeable blast radius.
  • Gibuscus - Fires rockets that cause clouds of smoke and decent damage.
  • Fatale - Fires small grenades that have the ability to drop in the middle of players, dealing damage to anyone caught in its radius.

Custom Maps & Weapons
We have thoroughly balanced and installed various custom maps and weapons to give players a wider variety of playstyles. Click on this link to give us suggestions on what maps or custom weapons you would like to see on the server!
