Hello all,

So ARK is still very, very buggy. We're very sorry that everyone has been getting kicked in the stomach lately by the game, what with recurring issues like disappearing bodies, disappearing dinos, vanishing eggs, babies dying for no reason... But the developers have made it clear that fixing these issues is not their concern. We have made several attempts, including forum posts (on the official ARK forums) and direct emails, met with little to no help.

In an effort to preserve our sanity, here is a list of known issues and what we can typically do for you, or if it's beyond our power:



Admins cannot see and/or go to every dino on the map, regardless of where it is. In terms of locating them, the best we can do is have the capabilities of a player in your tribe. Please try the pet finder, located in your engrams, before continuing!

Sometimes dinosaurs and babies outright disappear, or teleport and die to a wild dinosaur. We have no idea what causes this. We cannot prevent it. It is not just our server, it is ARK. It has been happening for months. 9/10 when this happens, the dinosaur is just gone (disappeared) and off the map. It is completely unrecoverable. Very, very rarely it may show back up at some point, but it is extremely rare. We cannot locate, see, or recover it.

However, if you can see the dinosaur on the pet finder, it is most likely underground. We can recover this!

Babies (rarely) starve to death or die, despite having plenty of food in their inventory. Still not sure how this happens. Pretty irritating nonetheless.

Eggs, while incubating or on the ground, will despawn or die without warning. Maybe a 1/10 chance of happening? Best we can recommend is trying the incubator added from the Egg and Poop Collector mod, as it is incredibly powerful as an AC.



Without explicit proof, there is nothing we can do. We ideally need:

* Screenshots of the baby/babies or egg(s)
* Base stats (roughly), pre-tame level, post-tame level
* Death of said dino(s) to be in your tribe log

* Obviously if a dinosaur outright vanishes, there is no death in the tribe log. There is nothing we can do. :( ("But what if I show that I tamed it?" - We can't differentiate one of your 120 Rexes from one-another, on our end, and neither does the log. What's to keep you from hiding this rex and asking for a replacement?)

We used to be very lenient with replacements, but lately the amount of dinos getting eaten by ARK's bugs has increased, and it could easily overwhelm us. We need as much proof as possible. If in doubt, screenshot! (F12 by default, on the steam overlay)



This seems like a new issue, ever since Dunkleosteus (the rock fish) was introduced. We believe the physics that happen to your player's body go haywire, once you die, which potentially flings your body off the map. There is no fix for this, sadly. Another horrendous ARK bug.
