Server GMs: Nimthos, Balian, Tassadar

This is an rp/pvp server, that being said some rules must be implemented to keep a balance between the two. It is the GM's job to enforce the rules but it is your duty to provide as much proof as possible when coming to us accusing someone of breaking the rules. The default screenshot key for Steam games is F12. Take as many as necessary to help support your case or to defend your actions (youtube links are strongly recommended if you can record). GMs may not be on at all times, as such you are expected to police yourselves to a certain extent. We can reset and adjust character attributes, but not morality.

Warnings :
1# summoned to the Capitol for a public execution
2# lose 50 skill points in crafting section and 50 points in combat section
3# Banned for a week
4# character banned (permanent)
5# steam account banned (permanent)

Keep in mind warnings do not reset, if you intend on spending a long time here , 4 warnings goes quick , choose your actions wisely. GM can advance punishment if issue warrants.

The GMs are here to assist with a game problem, answer questions, mediate disputes and enforce the rules. GMs ruling on issues are final. GMs will not participate in pvp raids.

Trader Carts will be located in the Capitol City of New Haven for new players, these carts or the nearby warehouse will contain all of the items needed to build your first monument (5 shaped rock, 100 bones, 20 hardwood billets, 40 preparations) and a few starter items. You are encouraged to start a claim or be a part of one. If a camp or any buildings are not on an actual claim, they are subject to removal in an effort to keep the server running smoothly. Established player please leave the mats for the new people.


Bannable offenses

-In chat:

*Discrimination, IC or OOC, against people because of their race, beliefs, gender, or sexuality. This is a medieval RP server, but it's possible to roleplay a religious figure (leader or otherwise) without being a medieval-level ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ about it. There are fewer warnings when it comes to this rule, and you will lose stats fast if you can't control yourself.

*Trolling about out of game subjects like politics and religion (Keep it in game, these subjects tend to get too personal)

*Misleading answers to new player's questions (you must help or say nothing)

-In game:

*Spamming gate

*Killing someone in a safe-zone (unless it is in the arena)

*Using poisons/warcries in arena,events/tournaments

*Kosing at events/tournaments ( like ruining the party by going on a killing spree in the crowd)

*Jumping over walls with horses/standing up on your horse to climb a wall

*Destroying someone else's monument

*Violating rules pertaining to Capitol or any other landmark site, claiming, destroying, etc.

*Attacking a claim that is still on the timed protected list (first 7 days)

*Blowing up buildings other then walls (only time it is permitted to burn down a town is when war is declared). Walls and buildings outside of claim area are fair game.

*Animal slaughter when raiding (steal em or leave em )

*Alt steam accounts (yes we can find out lol )

*Being in multiple guilds with same steam account, that you do not own.(ie, creating alt that starts a guild for RP purposes, etc. and main staying in original guild owned by you is acceptable). You cannot create alts and join multiple other guilds owned by other players.

*Using the lower ground option instead of digging option on clay after being warned.

*Not removing stumps after being warned


COMBAT

Pvp

Any pvp action towards another player must be justified by rp. You must at least rp in global chat (NOT LOCAL) but using a mic is STRONGLY recommended. Eg: lets say a bandit sneaks in, he must rp before attacking and robbing you. That being said same goes the other way.If a bandit comes to rob you, you must rp a way out so either run, fight, or yield. It is not permitted to log out or pray home while a bandit is trying to rob you. You cannot log out in someone's base. If you just happened to crash, when you log back in you must let it be known in global and get out asap. Don't try to use crashing as an excuse for combat logging or strategically logging out in someone's land.


Bounty

Anyone who feels like they have been wronged can post a bounty with a small description in the steam group. In order to claim the bounty payment, you must provide proof. A screenshot showing the body ,the name and the system log (youtube links are strongly recommended if you can record).


Judgment Hour

Judgement hour is a time where KOS is permitted. Starts at 5:00PM PST (8:00 PM EST) Wednesdays and Saturdays. It lasts 2 hours. Prep up and get your defenses up and ready.You are not permitted to damage or destroy any building BUT walls . Ladders (from here on out referring to stacking crates or chests) are allowed, but only during JH. Each ladder component must be supported from underneath by another component; i.e. no floating items. No log ladders. Crafted crates or chests (NOT bark boxes) are the only acceptable ladder components for raiding purposes. Ladders can only be built in this way during JH. At any other time, you will receive a warning. Bark boxes are not allowed to be a part of any ladder. No horse jumping over walls.


War

War can be declared amongst guilds. Once war is declared, both guilds have 3 days to prep before each battle. During this prep time you may want to gather allies to fight with you but be careful for spies. Both guilds must let the GM know who will be fighting with them before the end of the 3 days. The war is split in 5 battles , in order to win a war you must win 3 out of 5 (at least).When the 3 days is up the GM will turn on JH at a specific time strictly for the two guilds concerned. All other players/guilds not part of the war are to stay in their claim. If someone other then the 2 guilds and their allies are caught raiding or attacking you will get a warning. During war (and only during war), it is permitted to burn down buildings and wipe your enemies .

Destroying monument
The only time it is permitted to destroy your enemies monument is when you have won 4/5 battles . Only in this last and decisive battle is the guild leading with 4/5 permitted to attack their enemies monument and wipe them out.

New Claims
New players that place a monument and create their own claim will be under protection from any form of attack or theft for 7 days.

I'd like to make note of something that maybe should be a rule.

In the event of a raid, gates can be spamed to close and open. When it does this a person running/riding through can be instakilled regardless of armor/HP. I'm not sure if this has been fixed or not, if you'd like I'll gladly volunteer as a test dummy. Reason being this is basically an exploit that can be misused to gain an upper hand on people during pvp raids.

It is an exploit. It is still used. Its way more fun to blow up a gate anyways.

Blowing in a gate is always a fun way to make an entrace.

The restrictions on attacking a claim during JH if nobody is on to defend it has been lifted. If you want to protect your belongings...get online!

The multiple guild rule is going to get horribly abused. I can already think of three different ways for my guild leader to exploit it with a good rp story.

I am confused by the wording here.. specifically, "that you do not own". Is that suggesting you can log in on someone else's account (one you do not own) to create a character?

The example suggests you can create another alt and start another guild, so the wording does not apply to guilds, it must apply to Steam accounts?
