Dues Ex Mankind Divided won't patch or launch.

All.

I am getting the following error when I try to update Dues EX Mankind divided:
An error occurred while updating Dues Ex Mankind Divided (Missing Content Manifest)

I did try an verify the game cache as well and it just hung there not checking or anything. (not like it normally would)

Is anyone else having problems or is this a general issue with Steam servers?

Ditto on that sir.......I believe it is b/c of the OS update for my Win10 x64 build. I am trying to upgrade to the anniversary edition off of the 1511 build I am currently on. Some of the Microsoft forums suggest this may be the problem as WSUS won't actually update anymore and there is no other reason this particular update keeps failing. What OS you running?

I jave the same issue, tried to reinstall but it won't. I have also tried on two separate pcs...

I am having the same problem as well. Don't know what changed. I played it fine yesterday. Win10 home edition here.

I had the same problem. If you set your download location (in the settings) to Montreal, Canada, then the update will work.

Same here uninstalled the game and tried to reload it and wont download.

If many are trying to download the data at the same time, or there are regional server issues, or both perhaps, then reinstalling the game is not going to do anything. Try changing regions to several different places many times. Try some very far away from you. The game is not the issue. Getting the files for said game is the issue.

Switching download locations worked for me. I used Canada - Montreal

Looks like it might be the US servers. I'm on Columbus. I changed it to Chicago no luck. Then I tried Canada - Montreal like it was suggested and that seems to be working. It is now Validating and updating.

Yea same here using Canada - Montreal and its downloading. Tried all day to play could'nt. us searvers must have issues.

its not the US servers that are broken, its just a random assortment US - Alaska currently is working fine as per my experience and this forum page

It seems as if the servers are swamped. I've never had this error before and besides Deux Ex, can't think of any other major launch (and that was on Tuesday). I wonder if Steam's service is hosted on Amazon Web Service.. Even so, I would never connect to the Vietnam server, even if it is Steam.....bad enough with hackers thru a US site. Anyways, Alaska worked for me.

Same and cant re-install. Seriously WTF steam get your act together.

I work in the IT field. Its pretty sad when you leave a game in the morning to go to work. You come home to relax after work and something that worked perfectly freaking fine earlier is now broken because of incompetence and piss poor field testing of changes. If you are going to force a patch on someone you should probably make sure its available and working. Just a thought from someone doing this for 16 years.
