Permanently Locked Account Due To False Fraud?
Hello. I have come to the Steam Forums because I am mad about what Steam Support did to my precious account. To lock it due to Fraudulent Activity. The message states:

"This account appears to have been used for fraudulent activity.

Steam Support has flagged your account as potentially having been used for fraudulent activities. Please contact Steam Support so that we can assist you.

This account will have restricted functionality until this issue is resolved.

Purchasing, gifting, trading, buying and selling items on the Community Market, and cd-key activation have been disabled.

More info on this topic is available here: Steam Terms of Service Agreement."

Before this however, I reached out to the Steam Support for an error that keeps persisting in CS:GO and in the Steam Store that I cannot buy anything, and that the transaction does not go through on my main computer, but on my alt computer it works. On the day that my account has been locked due to fraudulent activity, I thought it was because I accessed a (legit) credit card when I was on vacation in Houston and then bringing my computer back to NY. I didn't check my Gmail at that time, so I assumed just that. And then today, August 20th, I decided to check my Gmail (cause I don't check it that often, and because I saw other forum posts that it takes a while for Steam to respond, so I didn't check.) and I had 2 messages from Steam Support. One was the initial response from Steam about the error with the transactions and the other was for the restricted account. In the first email Steam Support asking about the credit cards that "I" attepmted to use on my alternative account. Now, I have never attempted to use any credit cards on my alternative account because, well, it was my alternative. Second of all, I don't have a credit card. If I were to get Steam wallet money I would either ask one of my relatives or go to a retailer that sold Steam Wallet cards. And the second email was to tell me that Steam Support has permanently locked my account and that I cannot do anything to unlock my account. Again, they stated that the issue had to deal with fraudulent credit card use. Again, which I would never try to access credit cards on my alternative account.

So after this, what should I do? Should I try to contact Steam Support even though I already know my account has been permanently locked? Please Help!

Of Course. Only them have the ability to unlock your account.
As users, we can't do anything.

This is the first email response that Steam Support sent me:

"Hello Bk,

Thank you for contacting Steam Support.

We apologize for the delay.

In order to assist you with this issue, we will need you to verify the following information about the credit cards you attempted to use on your other account, "jashadic".

-Complete cardholder billing information (name and billing address):

-Last 4 digits of credit card number:

-Card type (Visa, Mastercard, Discover, American Express):

-Valid daytime phone number including country code (if applicable) or area code:

Please reply to this ticket with this information included in the response. This ticket is not posted publicly and no other users will be able to view this information."

I have not replied to the email yet as I did not check my email until today.

And then this is the second email:

"Hello Bk,

Thank you for contacting Steam Support.

We apologize for the delay.

We have found activity in the Steam account related to fraudulent credit card use.

Per the Steam Subscriber Agreement, we have locked the account permanently. The account will not be reactivated.

The Steam Subscriber Agreement can be found at:
http://store.steampowered.com/subscriber_agreement/

In addition to violation of contract, said activities on the account may violate state and federal law. Valve reserves the right to refer the matter to the appropriate authorities."

I honestly don't know what to do here, I feel helpless.

You have no other choice but to answer them and try to solve the issue with support.

Well, I'll try. I'll probably say something similar to what I said to post this forum disscussion. Is it ok if I reply to any one of those 2 tickets? I don't think it matters right?

I don't think so too. But you may wish to describe the whole issue, so, the support guy doesn't have to get back to you asking for the information.

Ok, I'll try to reply sometime today.

~EDIT~ Looking back, I have been a victim of Phishing, and I recently changed my password. I will try to keep the post updated if anything new pops up. Thank you Fox for the support you have given.

Did you provide them with the info? And also be grateful you can still play your games on that account.

Not yet. I will be in the process of doing just that today. I just need to find the time to. :/

I am, and I am very glad I can still play competitive on CS:GO and I can access my items there. But I'm not glat that I can't sell anything on the marketplace, I can't trade, I can't buy keys, and I can't do any cd-key redemptions.
