as for the rest, dint work for me, so yeah. ;(
I cant remember to be honest. :/ I had him as companion, and not as avatar. if that helps.
as for "Royalty", I think you need to have him as your avatar. not 100% about it tho.
both Ifan's achievements worked fine for me. try every option available before and after the last fight.
to easily unlock both "for honor" and "divine" achievements. here's a trick:
save your "normal difficulty" game right after the final fight. (right when the fight ends) and then load that save and switch the difficulty to the hardest. and you'll unlock them both without a single fight on hardest difficulty. :D not 100% sure it will work for you, but it worked for me.
ps. keep it a secret tho. ;D
I had Beast as my main and didn't get Royalty, but I'll try both Red Prince and him as companions, that might be it.
Had no trouble with Ifan's. I'm pretty sure you need to play him instead of recruiting him as a companion, otherwise you may not have the option to pick his lines. At the end of the game if you play all dialogue options you will have three choices that specify "forgive" or "kill". Forgiving unlocks immediately but of course for killing you actually need to defeat him.
I am also pulling my hair out for A Dream Undone. Anybody have a detailed walkthrough of how they got it??
I tried it with the Red Prince as a companion.
1) Slept with her in Driftwood
2a) The team tried to kill her in Arx (Prince, since he was a companion, did not agree and went aggro).
2b) Same strategy again, but this time had Prince sneak ahead and leave.
I tried it with the Red Prince as a main.
1) Did not talk with her in Driftwood
2) Accepted Shadow Prince's Quest
2a) Killed her with Prince Main after dialogue option related to Shadow.
2b) Killed her with no dialogue option
2c) Killed her after dialogue option, but not Shadow Prince's dialogue.
3) Reloaded Act 3 and skipped the Shadow Prince entirely and tried again.
No luck. :(. Frustrating because this is my last achievement since Sebille's aren't obtainable.
Exactly what I did and yet... no luck. I'm certain there are stupid requirements for those achievements like talking to a seemingly unrelated character to trigger all the correct flags... Considering the very low percent of players who got Beast's achievements, you probably did all the right thing but how do we know which one mattered?
As far as I know, you read Beast's letter, talk to the dwarf in Amadia's sanctuary, meet up with Lohar in Driftwood, find out about the death fog and report to him, maybe info on Mordus too. Then in Driftwood gain access to the sewers then Justinia's court, fight Isbeil, find Justinia again... period. Can you remember of something else you did?
Hmm you nailed it. Only other thing was, I think somehwere you find evidence that Isbeil is pulling the strings. I remember in the initial dialogue I had Beast choose the dialogue where he confidently tells Justinia that Isbeil is a traitor (not those exact words. I dont remember the exact words).
As for other details...if it matters.
I played multiplayer with Ifan & Beast as a main. Prince & Lohse as a companion. Beast + Lohse were paired together. Played on Tactician. Prince did most of the talking throughout the game, but I used Beast for story related encounters. && I got the achievement after the latest patch so if it's buggy, it's still obtainable somehow.
Yes, yes it did, and thank you. I looked at the achievement code in the divinity engine, and found the following lines of code:
So, both achievements work, only and only if you have both Beast and Ifan as players. This is beyond stupid, but I managed to unlock the achievements this way. I figure this is a copy/paste error by the person who wrote this, they probably forgot to change the second condition to have Beast as a player and not Ifan (based on how the rest of the achievements are coded).
Now, for the remaining achievements I can't confirm everything, but I will in the future. As of now, here are my conclusions based on code alone.
Red Prince: Kill
Unclear. Achievement triggers when the flag ARX_HorrorSleep_Sunset_KilledPrincess is validated by a Red Prince player (as opposed to companion). Said flag is set in the oasis by the following piece of code
ARX_LizardPrincess_IsInARX should always be true since the flag is set upon entering Arx. Other than that, maybe the kill need to be made by another player (not the one using the Red Prince) maybe?
Sebille
I believe it might be impossible to unlock right now considering both achievements require to have Sebille as a player and validate the Sebille companion quest (which are not the same as the player quest), flags being QuestUpdate_FTJ_COM_Sebille_Rooted and QuestUpdate_FTJ_COM_Sebille_NotRooted. Also, both achievements are listed in the ARX_Main section, so finishing the game after completing the quest may be required too.
I'll keep you posted if I find anything new.
Can I ask you to save the game before you got the achievements of the Beast?
And can you lay out the full text that is responsible for Sebille achievements?
Larian still hasn't responded to my two emails regarding the subject. Great company.
– Both of Beast's achievement should be working, they no longer require Ifan to be in the party.
– Sebille's Grounded achievement finally works... but killing the mother tree did not work for me, I'm still investigating why, at least now the achievement is looking for the player or companion quest update, so whatever combination you use should work (I have a feeling you need to complete the shadow prince's quest and not simply destroy the tree)
– I don't see any difference with the Red Prince's achievement logic, and unlocking did not work.
Keep in mind I had no reply from Larian, they may still be able to clarify some of these things, but fixes were made and that's a great sign.
