Card Drop: 10mn + 3x50mn
I think everyone should know how long it takes to drop all the Steam cards in a game. This is an important information for me because it represents the time during which I couldn't play other game. It's not because I have the game (via a sale or a bundle) that I want to play it immediately but I want to be eligible for boosters. I have 478 games with Steam cards. It's particularly painful for me to farm them at the current rate of new/updated games. This represents several hours/day and I don't want to leave my PC on twenty-four hours a day.

It seems that each developer sets the time between each card drop except for the first (after 10 minutes). As I said in the title, for Detective Case and Clown Bot in: Murder in the Hotel Lisbon, you have to wait 50 minutes between each drop. The maximum (1 hour) is almost reached here :angrycrank: . In all, it takes 2 hours 40mn to drop the 4 cards.

(If that is verified information) I didn't know the devs themselves chose the drop time. I thought it was a global min / max on all of Steam.

In case you have a good enough rig, and small enough games, you could run your main game then start your drop game after. It will take longer to drop cards than if it was running alone, but at least you still reduce the drops left.

The drop time is 20mn, 30mm, 40mn, 50mn or 1 hour (I have not seen other time between two cards except when Steam had problem). This is specific to a game.

Yes, I can farm card with a 2nd game running but this requires twice as much time. Today, I started to farm cards at 3pm (in France). It's 0:30am now and I have again 7 cards to drop. If I play another game, imagine the time spent.

I still have 43 games to drop remaining, so I somewhat quit the play continuously to drop it all.
I understand that it can be quite the challenge to be able to play and still drop as many cards for booster eligibility, I did it for a while. With around 250 eligible games, I now have some room to breath :sbhappy:

Pina, you create the cards and it's Steam that make money with. You have (may be) a few extra games sold through these cards, but is it fair for you?

The developers do get a small Percentage you know. 5% I believe, maybe 10.

We get a percentage. I personally don't care if people have the cards or not, in the end of the day it's just a bunch of JPGs stored on the server or on your hard drive. If people like to collect these JPGs it's fine by me. Took me a few days to create them and set it up on Steam with my game so it's fine. Just enjoy the games ppl.

Thanks for your clarifications, Pina and good luck for your game.
