Currently no. Entering cars was possible in earlier builds of the game, but has been removed because it was not ready yet. It is expected to be added in a post-release update, though.

Yup, get into police cars and run civs over! hehe Also shooting from cars.. hilarious times.

OMG thank god for that!!! I just started to play this and noticed I couldn't do anything with the cars!! PLEASE PLEASE let us able to get in them, it really was the of the best features that was ever implemented into SW for its time and this game would be a shame not to have them driveable.

Well, you can still shoot cars here in Satellite Rain. But seems they cannot even drive people over as it is now. Was a bit funny in the other Syndicate games that cars would hit you if you just ran out in front of them.

I also miss being able to set people on fire... you can burn them with the flame thrower, and it is nice that trees and such can burn. But it was quite satisfying to be able to set fire to civilians, police and enemies and watch them run around burning and screaming :steammocking: You were not exactly meant to be the good guys anyway... so might as well act the part.

subscribed to thread lmao. If there ll be drivible cars, it ll be worth to buy
Caldor 22 Oct, 2015 @ 5:54pm
Drivable cars is what would make you buy the game? They were always a very small part of the Syndicate games, and honestly did not ever work very well as I saw it. Mostly just a gimmick I would say.

Not sure why people find this part so important. Sure, it would be a nice feature. I can just think of at least 5 other things I would rather see in the game than drivable cars. One of them the multi-player that they are working on.

If driving worked as well as in GTA1 I would like it too but if it would work as in syndicate1 I don't care much for it.

Pretty sure it would work as in Syndicate: Hover cars on rails hidden under the roads. Well, presumably that's how they can hover. If the cars hover by their own power I see little reason for why our agents couldn't have personal jetpacks and defy gravity at will.

That doesn't sound so bad. I guess it would make the environment more interactive.
I was thinking they were following rails because it's easier to code.

That could be the real reason, yes. Though Syndicate Wars had tanks and flying cars that could go wherever they pleased, resulting in flying cars sometimes getting stuck inside buildings.

SW had tanks that could shoot and flying cars that did not have to follow roads? That would make it more interesting. I just did not remember finding any of those when I played SW.

I used to have my Clone Shielded agents enter tanks and the tanks' internal energy would keep the Clone Shields active while at the same time allowing them to fire the tanks' missiles at enemies. It was quite broken. :steamhappy:

I personally never experienced the cars ever getting stuck! I remember loosing an agent or two from being run over by them which was hillarious lol.
