Makes me wonder how fubar things must be between Oovee and Pavel for him to actually sabotage his work in such a drastic manner. Very bad sign imo.
This game would be really alive, if Pavel took his head out of his rear end every so often and listened to the fans, and if Oovee understood that a transparent company that didn't behave in shady ways would likely not cause problems.
Instead, we have a game which has a lot of potential, but for some reason, has a harder time moving forward than a ZiL-130 hauling a trailer and trying to drive over a tree branch in wheel well thick mud!
From a official standpoint, I'm starting to wonder if Spintires is truely dead from the douchebaggery that has been seen by both sides of that battle... On the other hand, I'm sure it'll be alive and well thanks to the modder community, and to well intentioned people like the gentleman who had hacked the exe to figure out why the wierd behavior all of a sudden. After all, think of how many games essentially there are that haven't been touched by the publisher or developer in years, but are alive and well thanks to a 3rd party, who not only finds interseting ways to fix gamebreaking problems, but continues to add content to the game in all sorts of ways!
If oovee won't fix the issue they should do a refund, because this is no accident.
You know, you can refund games on Steam. Any game. As long as you've played it for less than 2 hours and you've had the game for less than 2 weeks, you can refund it. If this game won't ever function again, then I couldn't refund it since I've played it about 22 hours since I got it around New Years.
To refund a game, follow these instructions: support.steampowered.com/kb_article.php?ref=6695-QIKM-7966
Oh. Holy mother of thirsty Russian trucks. I'll guess you've translated that?
This is not how a game should be. It should be playable without it crashing every time.
I suggest everyone drops a ticket on STEAM inc this thread and posts from the guy who found the 'Time bombs'.
Forget refund money, and use it as leverage to contact ECC ( European customer comitee) and send them a case. Im quite sure OOvee and Valve will start singing different song when they are visited by few ppl for scamming and selling unusable product.
