Bombs have a 5sec assault fuse since about 2 months now. (Not exactly sure on how long)

Why dev did it?

Because people just suicided into a tank with a bomber and spamming all the bombs.

What? they cut off explosion demadge if i ramming in tank?!

Ramming no longer killing is one thing but that didn't changed the fact people would spam rocket/bomb and blow themself up on target, bomb got the delay to counter that and give tanker a chance to escape bad pilots

why i must follow this rule, witch maded for noobs? I bombing targets perfect, without any damage for my bomber, i even can kill fighter by bomb, if he run behind me on low high. Oh sorry now it impossible!
contact detonation is a great thing and advantage for any bomber IMHO.
The second..so many heroes of WW2 used ramming to create a great things, then they turn their flaming fighter\bomber to enemys and destroy few tanks

People need to actually read what it says. You can either set the fuse manually, or use the assault fuse. The assault fuse means that the bomb will detonate on contact, but the bomb will automatically detonate 5 seconds after it's dropped. That means that you can't use the assault fuse and bomb from high altitude because the bomb will go off before it ever hits it's target. You have to select the appropriate time fuse for however high you're flying.

I always use the assault fuse and never bomb from any higher than 4500 feet. Most times, I'm much lower than that. I've never had an issue.

Suiciding means that the bombs aren't dropped until you crash, so whatever fuse you set is how long the bombs will take to detonate. (In the case of the assault fuse, it's 5 seconds.)

They did this to make people actually have to drop the bombs rather than just suicide into a target. If you suck at bombing, then get better at it. That's really all there is to it.

They still dig up undetonated bombs in Berlin and other cities from WWII. Some were timed, some were pressure fuses, some were contact fuses. They had (in real life) about a 95% reliability.

Again, the assault fuse is a contact fuse. If you drop the bombs, they explode when they hit.

What most people are crying about is that they just dive bomb tanks and ram them and used to with the assault fuse they instantly blew up killing everything in the area.

It was considered extremely unfair because the bomber got free kills without using any skill at all. So, they put the 5 second delay in there to make them actually drop the bombs rather than just suicide into the target.

It still didn't really fix it though as most people still just suicide into the tanks, they just hit the release button right before they hit so they go off on contact.

how did you see that? Bomber is easy target for anyone, bomber have bad gunners, its not easy at all to bomb targets then you under fire.

I do it all the time. In fact, I've shot down 2 fighters and bombed out 2 cities in a single game in my B25.

i dont test it yet but 50ft bombs have dealy too? so if its BIG L0L

Assault fuse or user fuse are NOT time before it goes off after its dropped

Any time fuse is the time the bomb is going to take before detonating AFTER hitting the ground

Assault fuse is the bomb is armed to blow 5 sec after REALEASE, meaning if you bomb take 5 sec or more to get to target they blow on impact

anyway its unfair
